Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If my son needs one, I'll let him pick it out. That's easier than having to return it if he doesn't like/need/want one. :)

Comment by April on April 26, 2011 at 12:16pm: Sailors Princess....I was looking for one too. I am going to try dicks sporting goods later this week. I think they have a black jansport backpack. I you have to do is take the one jansport logo off and then it would be solid black. I saw it online so hopefully they will have it at the store.

I also got my ribbons last week from Lala the Ribbon Queen. And they are beautiful! I can't wait to wear them at PIR. You can really tell she put a lot of time and effort into making these. They look great. Thanks Lala!

Ladies, it is so nice to watch this clock tick down. We are so close to seeing our SR graduate. Well I am off to get ready for a long night at work. But I hope you ladies are having a great day!
