Defiance Mom, sorry to hear of your son's sickness, and praying that he'll feel better soon.

JBird:  I LOVE that book too!  I've had it since the kids were little.  And since in the book she sang the song and rocked them, I did the same thing and made up my own little tune for the words while I rocked them.  I just Loved that book and so did my kids.  I never thought of sending them words from it for their letters though, It's not too late!!.....    We have had many garage sales and never could bring ourselve to get rid of it, but I think I'll purchase a bunchof them and give them to friends with small children.  It will be a treasure to them as well!  Thanks for the blast from the past everyone!

jtoneonly- I had the same problem! LOL! I'm glad I decided to try adding that letter because I wasn't sure if you get booted off after so many times of putting in the wrong password.

Thank you to all who responded earlier to my concerns about my son's health and whether I should or should not have mentioned the likelihood of him flying out to Groton, CT A School on Saturday morning after graduation on Friday.  As I said, I had fretted about if I should have told him that considering how sick he was at the time.  If he didn't know already, that news was not going to make him feel any better.  However, with all your kind words and the fact that I am clearly not alone when it comes to having a sick recruit right now, I am feeling much better.  I appreciate all those praying for my son and the health of the other recruits.  Though it has been said many times, this site and the wonderful ladies participating in each group have been a tremendous blessing to me.  Thank you all.

Got my gate pass. At first had some difficulty and then realized that my son left a letter off the end of the password lol! Easily corrected, all set now. 10 days to PIR, on a flight in 9, Battlestations in 4. I'm a nervous wreck! You would think I was the one going through training lol! So excited and very proud!

My son would always tell me when he was little that he was only going to have 2 seats in his car, one for him and one for me. When I asked him where his girlfriend or wife would sit, he said all he needed was his mommy lol! Of course he was only about 5 at the time lol!

jbird- I have that book "Love You Forever" and it is the sweetest thing. I've had it since my son was little too! In the front cover, I have an ice cream cone that he drew in second grade and inside it his description of what the book is about. Ahh, memories make me emotional. Time flew by and now he's a man. Remember:  "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."
