I didn't hear from my SR any word on her A school orders. She'll be going to corpsman training. Her recruiter told her she'd go to GL (even though a few weeks before she left, he told her it might be San Antonio). I'm hearing thru N4M, that they're sending all corpsman to SA now. Either way- does anyone know how long we'll have with our SRs after PIR?

Besides that, I thought a discussion group of us with corpsman can share any info we get on that anyway. Come join in!

Hi ladies! Found out today my husband has been moved to Class 180..so hello again to all of you with sailors in 180! He's happy about it because his roommate is also in 180 but he says that he was also told school probably won't start for another 2weeks..and its looking like november 1 for graduation~ anyone else hear that? I haven't been getting on here as much - I have a freakout moment that I could have this baby anytime and I am SOO not prepared so I've been spending a lot more time cleaning my house and getting organized! I'm now realizing why people told us we were insane for having another baby while he's gone ..What was I thinking?!! lol

Haha, Jenni. You are insane. ;) But seriously, you have a great support system and you are a wonderful mother. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help...you can call me to vent anytime, or I can send you anything you need!! :)

My husband said a lot of guys were moved into 180. So apparently there are two "sections" to each class-an A and B section. My husband was in A with a bunch of other guys from his RTC division (199), and most of them were moved to B...he's not happy about that. I'll shoot him an email and get him to find your hubby. He said there aren't as many married guys in A-School as there were in boot camp (that doesn't really surprise me). Is your hubby in A or B...or do you know? :)

Remember...there is only so much organization you can do before it makes you go insane. ;) (Trust me on this one!)

Thanks Jillian! :) Trevor is in A (or alpha as he was quick to correct me) LOL.. I told him your husbands name and said he needed to find him!

I keep saying "b" and Matt keeps correct me...pffffft. ;) Then again, it's taken me months to call a "hat" by its proper name (cover). I'm learning....slowly but surely!!!

I hope you and the little ones are doing well and that you're feeling ok. Hugs!

Just checking in I'm stuck in my recliner until I go to the chiropractor, frustrating day to not be able to work on my "things to get done list", but on the brighter note I get to hang with my daughter;)

I talked to my son yesterday and they said that half the of 175 was moved to 180 and half of 180 was moved back to 175. He said he just doesn't understand why they can't just put them altogether and get started. I think they just enjoy getting them use to all the changes that will occur while they are in the fleet.

Don't worry too much about A(Alpha), B(Bravo), hat/cover.............I have been married for 19 years and still get it wrong. lol. It will get easier.

Yenni, good luck with the baby, and I'm with Gnome, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask for help. I remember being pregnant with my daughter and my husband being on a ship, with an in and out schedule. We are all here for you.

Yenni- We are here for you. Let me know if there's anything at all I can possibly do.

What??????? They're moving 175 and 180 again????? Honestly, it reminds me of a Far Side cartoon. (love those things- so sad when he retired- but I digress again....) Anyway, there was a cartoon where they showed pilots in the cockpit of an airplane and they were both laughing while one made an announcement, "Sorry, folks, looks like we're hitting some more TURBULANCE again....!!!!" as they shook the plane back and forth.  I imagine the powers that be in SA doing the same thing with these sailors. "Oops, looks like we're going to have to switch you again...." while they laugh behind their desks....

LET'S JUST START ALREADY!! Although, I do find myself thinking that if they can put it off a little longer, maybe we'll get a long leave around Thanksgiving or Christmas...

Love to all of you!

Haha, I love that comparison! I love Far Side. I know all of our Sailors are ready to become Corpsmen!! :)
what a great comparision! I agree - I LOVED far side!!
Thank you!! I will definitely let you know but just knowing I have you all on here is going to be a big help! I think it's so silly about the switching around all the classes.. Its frustrating knowing they're all down there basically doing nothing.. Trevor says he can miss 3 days of school total without repercussions..but could get 10 days paternity leave but would be pushed back into yet another class. I told him a small part of me wishes we'd have this baby sooner because then he could do the full 10 days without an issue!! (I'm only 35 wks so in reality I'm not ready to meet her quite yet!!) I just keep telling myself to enjoy his little bit of freedom because once he is actually in classes we won't get to talk as much I'm sure!!

Back!  Woohoo!  Tonight I will sleep in my own bed.  It feels like I have been around the workd in 30 days or less.  Chicago for PIR, then straight to a family reunion, then straight to girl's camp, then straight to another family reunion.  So nice to be home.

G, I sure hope that you get feeling better soon!  I do love my recliner when I am not feeling well!  :)

Yen, could it be that you are doing a little "nesting?"  LOL!  Be careful, that baby may surprise you!  :)  I can't wait to here of her arrival and see some sweet newborn pics.  You'll have to be sure to post one of her and your little boy.  He is going to LOVE that girl.  My kids always loved it when the new baby came home.  :)  Sometimes I was afraid they were going to love the baby right to death, but somehow those babies survive a whole lot of loving.  :)

I haven't heard from my son if he got switched.  Once again, thanks for giving me the information I need to know what questions to ask.  Ha ha!

Night all....my bed is calling me.  :)

So glad to hear that you made it back home safely...now it's time to RELAX!! :)

Just booked our tickets to San Antonio:) Well, not just to SA, we are stopping in Fl first to see that new granddaughter of mine and her parents, then to SA. I can't wait:)

Girlsyk~ glad you made it home safe, your own bed always feels better. Rest up.
