Hi all, I thought I'd start a discussion for those of us with SRs who will be heading to Charleston, SC together for the NUKE program so we can stay together through that as well!

Heyy my husband is going to be a nuke :)
Yay! I'm so sad to hear that they have to leave Saturday though :( UGH
Gosh I know it sucks... so will y'all be living on or off base! We have decided to live on base and if we don't like it we can always move off! That really cool I glade your husband is nuke too!!
He is just my boyfriend for now! Haha and I won't be moving with him. I'm hopefully going to be teaching English abroad for about a year so we have a long time until we'll be living together. It sucks but at least I'm getting used to the separation now! We both just graduated college a year ago so we're kind of in a phase where we're figuring out what we're doing with our lives. He's not sure if the Navy will be a career or not...but I'm encouraging it! Hopefully they like the NUKE program. I hear it's tough though...
Aww im sorry :( i dont know if my husband will make a career out of it or not... im so proud of him and everything he is doing so im going to support anything he wants to do as long as he is happy! But teaching is something i wanna do lol i hope to start college soon... i wanna teach kindergarden :)
MY SON IS A NUKE .. ARE WE 100 PERCENT SURE THEY ARE LEAVING SAT .. CAUSE SOMEONE I MET ON FACE BOOK WENT TO A PIR 3 WEEKS AGO FOR NUKE AND SHE SAID HE DIDNT LEAVE TILL SUND AY /...
Yes the letter i got from my husband said that he leaves on saturday and they have friday to do whatever!
:(
:( :(
My Boyfriend is going to be a Nuke. So proud of him. It really sucks that they are leaving on Saturday. His mom and I were really looking forward to getting the weekend with him :(
Did your boyfriend tell you that in a letter? I've heard it from a number of people but not my SR. I was hoping it wasn't true.

I got a call from my daughter this Saturday. She said that she got her nuke schedule (PIR  6/10) and she will be at the airport at 2 am on Saturday.

She was worried that after we take her back to base on Friday after grad that we wouldnt want to come to the airport at 2am.. I definitely will be spending as much time with her as I can. She wants me to bring her cellphone and she is going to get one of the backpacks and I am going to bring personal items for her to take on the plane with her..
