My son is in Ship 9, Div 201 as well.  I'm glad to have another mother out there with the same--have you gotten any calls or letters yet?  We haven't :(   other than the I'm here call, and the box, and the form letter.

Im the girlfriend. His parents got the call that he made it to bootcamp the first night. and then his box came in last monday and on tuesday the note with his PIR and all of that information on it.

I think he said that he would be able to make another call either this week or next week back home. and hopefully letters soon to come also!

Hi Hootie #3 I still have not received any letters yet and the mailman just passed me up again. LOL No I didn't throw that can at him but I wanted to. LOL

My Sr is in this division. I have been looking for others since I received the address so nice to finally find someone in his division. Have u received any letters or calls yet, past the form letter?

Got our first letter today!  Yay!  He said it's pretty intense, they're going 16-17 hrs a day.  They're given 10 minutes to eat, the entire division of 87 has 20 minutes to shower.  They workout about 3 times a day, most in full camo and boots.  He's making some friends, says the guys in his division are really cool.  Now I can sigh a sigh of relief.  He sounds just like himself.
Congrats! (: that must have been so exciting!! I can't wait for one!
I GOT MY LETTER TODAY! (: he said its a lot of work! :D It's so exciting! I cried for the first 10 minutes after I saw the little envelope that said his name in the corner.
Good for you!!!  It's been so hard not hearing from them.  These two weeks have been tough!  That letter yesterday was the best Mother's Day gift he could have given me...

Keep by your phones! If you havent already gotten a phone call be ready for one! My SR called today for 5 minutes. He said everything is going well, he is doing good and he is excited to graduate. He also said that starting either this thursday or next thursday they should be able to have another 30 minutes to write letters now on Thursdays in addition to their Sundays.

It wasn't much but that phone call made everything so much better!

They are halfway done! (: only 30 days left!

We got a call too! Said their group got a flag for doing well on some test. This was a good thing! He's worked harder than he's ever worked before at this level of intensity. He's worried that he won't pass his running test but I know he'll do fine. Said they are week 2-day 5. He said he's stayed healthy. Got 2 wisdom teeth pulled last week, and is still a little sore. It was so good to finally hear his voice.

Thats great! (:

hearing his voice is deffinetly the best part, when my SR called I wasn't expecting to hear his voice, so I was so confused when I heard it and I wasnt sure how to react until he said my name and asked if I was okay.haha

I am here!!
