If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

I was writing my letter to Kelly tonight and I said he is probably going to be sick of us asking him questions when we see him. There is so much I want to know! I received one letter from him last week but I've talked to several of his friends and they are getting letters from him so that's good. His best friend from college came home last week and he came by the house to see us. That really made me homesick for Kel. I hope we all hear from our guys this week. So, if I'm figuring right, is Battle Stations next week? Do you suppose they went through the gas chamber this week? I thought about calling the recruiter to ask him what he thought. He called me a couple weeks ago - scared the heck out of me when I saw him on the id. He was just wondering if I'd heard from Kelly because he said he had received a letter. He said if he wasn't writing me he would find a way to change that - lol. Well here's hoping that those of us who haven't heard from our guys do before the weekend. Sweet picture Destinye - I miss those days of school programs and recitals.
The kids and I will be singing and dancing for you and your and your mail boex tomorrow. Josh said in his letter that he was only able to write me and no one else because they had been so busy. So yes I think you guys are right about why letters have been few and far between. My daughter just finished her last ballet performance for this school year. She was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. She was so beautiful and the whole how was great. She's the one in the front row with glasses.

adorable. : ) thanks for sharing.
Destinye, enjoy these times of recitals they go by so quickly. I remember going to both my nieces when they were that young, now they are 26 and 28. My sister always invited me because I always made fusses over them and did extra for them even up to when they got married (they are also my god daughters). I appreciate now because after I had my boys, I spent 3/4 of my motherhood in arenas or gyms or ball fields (wrestling, basketball baseball and football), Not complaining but, the girly stuff was special and makes a mom feel a little more feminine. My nieces are still very close and now we are expecting a little one from the 28 year old. She even sent Kyle a sonagram pic of the baby to bootcamp. So enjoy all that you can of the girly stuff!!! I hope the mail gods rain on aus today! Have a good one, Bren
Thank you ladies and I do enjoy and take in every minute of it I can. I am very involved in the kids school and the other activities. I am PTO President and room mom in both classes. I'm that stagge mom that everyone always talks about (not sure I should be saying that). But I try to involove myself in EVERYTHING my kids do because I remember how quick the time passed when my mother did it for me.
Did anyone else get mail yesterday, how about today? The kids and I did the dance for yall. I'm home with sick babies today so this will be my first days off with no work or school stuff in over 3 months. Not glad this is the way it happened, but I really needed a day off. And yes from what I can tell the confidance chamber is this week and battle station is next week. So we should be getting our I'm a Sailor Calls next week. I got our shirts in yesterday and they turned out well. But I think I am going to dress up for graduation and maybe wear them Saturday.
Thank you Destinye for the dance IT WORKED!!! We got a letter from Kyle and I swear it was like finding gold. He said the Division has earned every flag possible up to this point and he doesn't see them not getting them all. My husband was right (as usual) Kyle is so into doing everything perfect that he stayed focused on the Hell Week and didn't have time to write. Even this letter he said it will be short because I have boots to shine and other stuff to get ready for inspection. He said he passed everything with honors and he was designated "sharpshooter" with live fire. He also said that this passed Tues. was the beginning of "FEP" phase and final evaluation, also he metioned Fri (tomorrow) as gas chamber day. He is sick and his feet are bad but he doesn't want to see medics. He also likes the RDC's and they told him the gas chamber will rid him of his cold!! I hope everyone waiting for letters gets one or two today! I told my husband that while i was reading his letter is was like having him standing here in front of me. I was laughing at stuff he wrote and then crying because I was so happy to hear something. His girlfriend called and she got a letter too, she said he starts A school on June 23 and leaves GL on the 15th, so hopefully no grad n go. So sorry for being such a whinner the last couple of post but that's what "Steal Magnolias" are for. I'm going to close with a OOOH-RAH! & GO NAVY!!
hi brenda -- your letter sounds very positive and upbeat. nothing in the mail for me today but, as i've mentioned, i think i remember my letters coming friday and saturday. we shall see! that the division on a whole is doing well is a positive sign. just keeping my thoughts and prayers positive. having others discuss their letters helps a lot! ~abbe
Abbe, I know you will get something for sure in the mail!! Going through Hell Week was tough and I am sure thats why you son didn't write too. I couldn't help feeling pumped up reading how charged up Kyle seemed after Hell Week, he just wants to keep trucking to get to the finale. Coming from the Whinner, think positive and the mail fairy will deliver!!! Lets also say prayers to keep the recruits strong and healthy! Talk later, Bren

All you Ladies, If you have a few minutes go to PIR group 6/4/10 The moms are getting the I'm a Sailor calls. I couldn't even read them without getting choked up (Kidney behind the eyeball syndrome). That will be us starting at the end of next week, can you believe it?!!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I got 3 letters in one evelope today. Collin is very pleased with his scores and has been promoted to an E2. He says there are alot of people in the group who just won't keep their mouths shut....so everyone suffers. He got his orders for A school. Any one's recruit going to Pensecola? He said everyone is getting sick and he is trying to fight it off. Gotta to run to job#2 right now. I will go through the letters again when I have more time. Take care everyone!
LI mom, My son Kyle is going to Pensacola for A-school (Aviation Electronics). I also ask Kyle if he knew of anyone in his division that is going to A-school and he said Yes, he's the YN for 212 and he is cool. Could this be your son? Kyle also said the division is all male and as of May 23 there were 86 in the div. When you get a chance get back to me on this. Bren
Hi,
Just got home from work(12am est) and I am going to write to Collin now and I will ask him about Kyle, the funny thing is that they call eachother by their last names so I don't know how many first names they actually know. Ok what is a YN? I have no idea. I just hope that whatever virus is going around doesn't effect their success. I can't wait to get to Great Lakes. Gotta get that letter written and then some sleep. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for writing. By the way my name is Donna.
Donna,

When Kyle writes to us he just assumes I know all the Navy lingo (I looked up what YN was on google) it is a recruit that is a clerk for the division and helps the RDC's by keeping records for them. The YN means Yeoman. You might want to crash after PIR with your son, working two jobs can be very streesful and tiring! I know what I felt like when work would ask me to work a double (16 hours) that takes alot out of you. High Fives to you. Hope we will see you at the meet and greet! I certainly think we should all have a drink together after going through these weeks. Talk to you later. Bren
