I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Hello everyone. I just got the packet in the mail today letting us know that our son will graduate on June 11. They gave us an address that is different from the one our recruiter gave us. I hope that he gets the letter I sent to that other address. He wrote under recruit comments that he will be writing us a letter this Sunday.

Good morning All, my sons PIR date is 6/11/10 also. Ship 11 Division 209...I wouldn't think there should be a problem with sending a B-day card, I have been writing to my son on B-day cards as encouragement cards because I have looked for them and their not funny or up beat( I want to make him laugh) Has anyone sent their son/daughter stamped envelopes ?? If anybody has a recruit on my sons ship and division Please let me know?! Also if you haven't seen the questionnaire it's 3 pages long I found it on the Boot camp for Moms...It is a multiple questions for your son to fill out on all our questions for Moms to ask and they just have to choose ABCD...it's kinda funny!!

Yes, I agree I love this site... I have enjoyed writing my son letters, just not sure when I will ever get one back...hopefully soon. I keep checking the mail daily, but nothing yet. I know that they are busy so I am not expecting much when I do maybe just a few short lines. I think I will do the same witht he box... Great idea. You all have a great day.

Oh.... My sons B-day is the 28th is it OK to send a birthday card? Someone told me no because they will ridicule him but I do not want to say Happy birthday... do they really read their mail?

The boy in the box was delivered today. Happy, sad, proud, excited. No letter though. I'll continue sending letters to the address the recruiter gave me even though it doesn't match the one on the navy website.

Judy- I understand all your feelings. I am trying my hardest to accept that my job was to care for my son and raise him to be a great young man. His job is to make that young man into an man who can stand on his own tall and proud. We give the wings they learn to use them. my son went in for active duty so he wont be coming home for a while it is gonna drive me nuts. See he left stuff in places so I keep finding it. Like the fishing poles he was using before he left they are in my car. Now I'm not planning on going fishing anytime soon but I do laugh and say Oh, that kid. He wont be doing that after BC I'm sure. He will be on me to put things away. His hammock is strung out in our backyard. Last summer he slept there most nights.

My son Tristan 25 is in BC and he commented on the Navy form that his first day was Much harder really Tough and a lot of yelling. I know we all expected it but when you're really in it like Tristan all I see is my little 6 year old...He's my only son and the first boy born into our family and I hurt for him. I know that he uses his formal etiquette but I'm still worried; just want him to succeed and experience a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie I really believe it's the reason he chose this journey. I wish the butterfly's in my stomach would subside a bit.

I know exactly how ya feel. It is like you now know he has a place to sleep. It bugged me not knowing too.

Duston's mom- I received his div and ship number yesterday. He is Div. 211 Ship 11. That makes me feel a little closer to him. It that weird?
Comment by Travis' Mom Cindy Ship11/Div212 on April 22, 2010 at 11:01am
Hey ladies. Its my assumption by viewing the graduations posted on the navy (families) website that my son is in this group also. I did get the call from his recruiter about the ship and div but I haven't received the box or his letter yet though. Glad to have someone to share all this with. Worst thing is not knowing what all he's going through. Typical mom, huh?
