moonblosson- I'm not sure why the pant legs are rolled up. my son went in sweat pants. But before he left on utube he found a video of recruit training and the first bit they go thru. he shared it with me. They stand on this machine to get sized for shoes so I'm thinking (odor coming out my head LOL) that is why they might be rolled up.

Great idea about the box. I squirreled mine away in my closet and am just waiting for my husband to find it and wonder what I'm thinking. Now I have an excuse! :)

Terelak--do you have your son's ship and division. If so, the divisions that will be graduating on 6/11 is supposed to be posted next Monday. My son also left on 4/15 and I believe his date is 6/11, just from looking at division numbers just before his.

I am sure glad that the rest of you also loved the smell of the clothes in the box... I was thinking that folks would think I was crazy.. I have been sending a letter a day since I got his address. I know that I will get very limited letters but hopefully I will get at least one. Does anyone know if you can send them stamps in their letters so that they do not have to worry about buying them?

My son arrived in BC on 4/15 and we received his box yesterday. I'm not sure but if I have it right he sould be part of PIR on 6/11 but it could be 6/18. I guess I won't know until I get the official letter. My husband called me early and told me that we had received the box, I started to lose it at work but after a few minutes of talking with my husband I was OK. When I got home we opened it and just looked at everything. When we first opened the box it smelt like him. I miss that beautiful boy! I know God is with him, guiding him through whatever he is going through. I CAN'T wait until we get the letter.

Charlesmom--I've discovered already that this is a great place to feel not so lonely without your kid. The folks on here "get it" like the folks at home can't.
