In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

Hi, I just joined Navyformoms. My son Charles left for Boot Camp 04/14/10. I received the box yesterday and the first official letter. I didn't have the heart yet
to open the box. I won't handle it very well I know it. I am glad to have found this site........it will be good for me to get connected. One can feel pretty isolated when her child is gone.....

Yes I got the box today as well....as funny as it may be it was nice to smell his clothes and spell the cologne that he was wearing. I did really well due to the cfact that I got the letter first and was at ease by the words that he wrote... he had a sense of humor so I guess he has good spirits considering what they may be going through during these first couple of weeks. I sent my 1st letter today since I did not have the address until last night. Can't wait to get one back.
Thanks JessicaB we really appreciate your help and the good information that you give us... I look forward to meeting you all at PIR...keep me posted and if we are all going then we will exchange information,.

I'm assuming this is where we will be. Son arrived at GL on 4/14. He's in Ship 06, Div 930. I have the box so far, but no letter yet.
