I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Hi Pam - How funny you should post about a party with a banner. We had a going away to boot camp party for Tristan and my hubby is a Supervisor in the computer design department with a defense subcontractor at Vandenberg Air force Base here in CA So he made this huge banner with a garage door size battleship a couple of fmf decals and hospital corpsman patches blown up. It was awesome!! T just loved it....and it was the talk of his party!!

Hi Everybody. I checked out the bandsforarms.com website. I think the bracelets are beautiful and a wonderful way to give/recycle/support. I'm just waiting for them to make more Navy bands. Maybe our group at Navy for Moms got wind of it and sold them out ;)
Have a great weekend everyone. Continuing thoughts and prayers to our sailors who are working so hard.

Good Morning ALL, I have been volunteering at a couple nonprofits most of the week so thought I would pop in to see how is sharing.

sesommer, yes. Tristan is a "Reservists" going through corpsman A school with orders for FMF. C school at Camp Pendleton in CA. Although T has an AA degree in Criminal Justice as does his Girlfriend, he is finding A school becoming difficult and hes only at week 4 test today!!

Krystal, what a wonderful idea!! I will go to the site you posted and support!! How are you and the baby doing, are you acclimatising to the GL area?!

Hi Kim, so glad you stopped in this site.Ouch!! so sorry Charles' needs stitches. Hers praying all our cubs pass their tests today, come back and post with their scores, I would love to know!!

Have any of you ladies checked out bandsforarms.com? It's a site that takes old donated service uniforms and turns them into braclets. 70% of their funds go directly to the USO. The USO helps to keep our Sailors in communication with us while away from home at no cost to them or us. Please take a look at their site and order your bracelet today. I have ordered 3 and have 3 more on the way. They have several made from Navy uniforms (and other branches). bandsforarms.com

TristansMom, Tristan is at GL for corpsman correct? I believe he started actual classes before Brad did? Does Tristan know when he will get his next orders? I am stressing about what is next? I know I shouldn't, but it's hard. Brad hasn't even been told when he will graduate from corpsman school yet. I just would like to know what is in store for us.

Hi everyone!
Charles' Mom- I noticed that even the group for my son's rate doesn't get much activity...we must just be chatty!
Janis- I think a scrape probably hurt your son more than the cut mine got...scrapes burn for a while and seem to heal slow! Jake is already getting his stitches out this weekend!
Judy- my son has been spending every Saturday at the beach. I think it is good to let them have some fun so they can study hard during the week! As long as they keep up on everything that shows they can prioritize!

Hope everyone has an awesome week!

Good Morning Moms, Judy here. Hi Tess. Charle's mom, Kim and All the new moms on this site.

I'm Soooo happy there is face book because even though our sailors tell us All everything is okay, it's Good to see it for myself with the pictures on fb. Tristan and about 6 buddies were all together and smiling at the beach last weekend and speaking to T, I feel most of my concerns are squashed because he tells me "Mom, I do have my priorities in check and so do the other sailors I hang with". I think that they all have there eyes on the prize but need down time for balance.

So happy that you All are still coming back to this save haven where WE all can come and still voice our concerns...luv you All!! Talk to you moms later today.

Hi Sabine. Alex is a Fire Controlman. I understand that's weapons operations. He is supposed to be in GL for the winter and is rooming with two other guys who have been there for a while. I hope he and Charles can stay in touch but I know that it's still hectic there for all of them. Is there anyone else you can talk to in order to get some answers? I hope so. We'll stay in touch. Try not to worry too much. The Navy has made an investment in these young people and they will take care of them. There are chaplains and counselors too. Take care of yourself Mom. I'm here if you need to talk. Good Night.
