Olga- got to keep our fingers crossed on the E4 he only took the test still waiting the results.
He call me the other day it was great to hear his voice. Hubby asked him if there was anything he needed or wanted. He asked the hubby for a Malley's Choc Easter bunny for Easter.
God Bless your son, Liz!
Janis and I were just talking about how a year has gone by! Now all these young men are sailors, in their careers, sailing ships, visiting foreign ports, chasing pirates, launching missiles and doing all kinds of things we never thought about a year ago! Wow! I know mine left on April 20 last year so it is fast approaching.
By that date this year he will be half way through his first deployment.
It's nice to still see some of you on here!
Great to see that we are all able to pick up and support each other.
To think this time last year we were all shaking in our boots, heads spinning YIKES! my child is leaving for the Navy. Not knowing what to expect. Without all of the support we gave each other this experience would have been bad but it has been sweet since we all learned the ropes together and supported each other. We've cried, laughed and smiled together and that is why the past year has gone so smoothly. To all my PIR friends Thank you for being here. Bless you and your Sailors!
My sailor is fine he took the E4 test on St Patrick's day no word yet as to the results. He will begin an IA year long tour to Afghanistan in MAy and his feet leave US Soil August 2oth about. He should be returning May 23rd. I keep telling myself It's just a school year his feet will be off US soil.
Hugs to all my N4M friends.
Hey Judy!
Everything is going great! Still snow and time for skiing here in Montana!
My sailor has had an exciting deployment with first two port visits, going through the Suez Canal, dealing with the pirates and now hanging out waiting to see what is going to happen in Libya! Not a boring time for these guys!
Hello Everybody, I hope everyone is doing good! I just had my Corpsman home for the weekend and it was a lovely visit!
