The color is for meet and greet pretty much. The Recruit Heaven is where they get to go and use a computer, make calls and drink pop and just be. So I have heard.

As for running before the M&G: I'm, winded enough just thinking of the run. LOL Really my feet never could stand the landings even when I was 118 lbs.

Josh's wife as for special dinner. I'm sure any place you eat this weekend will be special to him because after 8 weeks he is eating with you. :D SO sailors just want to hang in the hotel rooms and some just want to be outside. so a picnic in the park might be just as exciting for him. And as for Rain they forecaster are picking up on the tears we will be shedding not real rain. (okay just hoping.. But when It came to special occasions for my boys that involved outdoors I always would sing the song Jesus Loves the Little Children. I'm gonna start that song now) LOL

Pam~I am very out of shape, but when Josh left I decided that it was time to shape up since he was going to. I do not run out side often, usually at the gym. But if you just want a buddy I'm up trying if you don't mind me following behind you. Are you staying at the Ramada? And I think that most ladies are wearing the colors at the M&G if I am understanding correctly.
Ladies~ What is recruit heaven? I've heard about it a few time so I googled it and got nothing?

Of course not Tristans mom! I just posted it on our division's page so not sure how many of us will be wearing white. But I thought everyone has a white shirt so that should be easy enough. Does anyone know any good places to eat after PIR? I want to make a reservation at a nice place. At home we always do quick and easy because of the kids, but I think this deserves more.

joshswife - Would you mind if div 209 wore white too...because I made a "i master in Navy 4 Moms.com", white shirt with gold & blue glitter writing with a battle ship logo all in blue glitter...I was hoping to wear it to show it to Moms who saw my post a few weeks back, but there are not a lot of dvi 209 so I wonder if it matters. Please everyone give me feedback...

Hi ladies! My son just had PIR this weekend and I have some tips I just posted on Boot Camp Mom's group. These saved me time, money and gave me more time with my son. I really appreciated advice I got from others who had experienced it and would love to "pay it forward". Let me know if you want more info than what I posted on that groups site. Only 4 more days before the best day in your life and your recruits!!!

Susan- I'm so glad you found out his info. Still sory your not going to be able to attend. To bad you can't get a coworker to switch with ya. Just rmemerb this when they want to switch. My Hubby had to do 2 shift trades to be able to make it soo I totally understand the headaches.

Darla- Like Joyce mentioned we ahve a small grouop of moms from group 930 ship 06 and would love for you to jjoin us there. We have no girl moms yet. You'd be our first. We picked to wear green for the meet and greet so can find each other.
Ae you traveling to Great lakes? where are you staying?

And on that note has everyone RSVP'd for the Meet adn Greet?
Comment by Joyce - NavyMom Oceana on June 7, 2010 at 5:14pm
Hi Darla, come join our ship 06/div 930 at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/ship06div930.

Trashline: you might be able to get her in. They will seat everyone on the list first and let the rest in if there is room.

I have a crazy question and situation. My husband, father daughter and I are going to PIR. When my son left we were not sure if our older son would be joining us. My son put my daughter on his first list for tickets into PIR..then there was some confusion in the letters as to weather or not my son would like to see PIR and my daughter would wait at the hotel...my son was not going to be able to go with us to Great Lakes after all but our letters crossed so now my "navy son" has changed the ticket from my daughter to my son...by now he probably recieved the letter saying to leave it the way it was because the older boy coudnt make it anyway...what a disaster. My daughter is still coming..her plane ticket is purchased...if she shows up with us at the gate and the original list that she was on is there a chance to get her in..????yikes
