My daughter is in div 930 ship 06 and she has battle stations today! I cant wait to hear how everything went and that she is official "Navy"! Her division also won the captains cup. She got to call home Saturday. I cannot to begin to express how proud I am. I also have received a few letters from her expressing her heart felt love and thanks to me. Wow has my daughter grown into a beautiful well spoken young woman.

(Ship 7 DIV 208)
My daughters division completed Battlestations last Thursday. We got the call on Friday telling us she received her '8 point cover' and is now officially in the NAVY!
She was so excited and very tired. She called today to let us know that they are taking care of a lot of paperwork today and tomorrow (orders, setting up allotments, etc) and then they will be going to Recruit Heaven for some R&R time.

I cannot wait to see her on Friday. We are so looking forward to the PIR on June 11th regadless of the weather. At this point not even a little rain could dampen my spirits :-)

Yes emptynester is corect on the proper name BUT my cousin who is a wife of a lifer in the Army/National Guard recently posted a part of it that allows for Military leave to be included (well kinda I don't know the whole thing for sure) Read thru it I know it's long but might be an avenue. When my cousin posted it I showed my hubby the blur and he said since he was able to switch around his work days He didn't need to apply right now.

Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) (if that is what LMC means) is to take care of yourself or an immediate family member with a serious health issue or to take time with a new born or adopted child. If that is what they are referring to, a situation like this does not apply. You sure your boss is so stuck on not giving you time off to go? I can't believe they won't for such an event!

This Prayer was forwarded to me. I think we can all use it this last few days.

Dear Lord as we the mother's and father's of new and soon to be sailors gather here tonight bless us with your unconditional love and give us the strength required to get through the following days. Protect our son's, daughter's, husband's and brother's as they complete this, the first leg of their journey, in the service of our country.

Take our worries from us and help us and guide us as we unite here one family in heart and soul.

In Jesus's Name
Amen

Susan- I'm so sorry about that. Check if you can through Family Leave Act. I don't know if is gonna help you sounds like you are stuck. II the form letter info stuff there is a box you can order for David it's $19.99 and the latest you can order it is the Thursday before PIR at noon. My folks are doing one for Ian since they can not make it. It's got a shirt, coin, phone card, movie pass and a few other things in it.

Susan~ That is not good and I can't even imagaine how you are feeling right now. If you'd like to get his division and let us know we find a way to make him feel included. Does he know that you will not be able to make it or will you just let him know when he calls?
