Can you guys believe we've gone from 8 weeks to just 9 days. We have almost made it and made a ton of friends along the way. I can not wait to meet you ladies and see our sailor's. I want to hug them and you all! I've seen the light and the tunnel's getting smaller. WOOO HOOO! Go Ship 11

Ladies, above is a discussion on PIR weekend. In it has good info on what they can and can't do. They do send out RDC's to watch the new Sailors and I hear it would not be good being caught. Your Sailor will also let you know but drinking, smoking or public affection is not a good idea. My son will still let me know if he is walking so I will not text him until he can stop.

Hmm. Are they allowed to drink while on liberty? I heard that they were not allowed. I, on the other hand, AM allowed and will be taking liberty with that!! :) :)

Got a letter today form my son. things sound good. He asked me to drop a note to one recruit who hasn't gotten mail. I'm on it alone with a few of my extend family member. I kept asking my son if anyone wasn't getting mail and he waits til the last week to tell me oh well. I'll bring something special for him for PIR.

Eileen, Thanks for sharing your video, it put tears to my eyes just watching it. How exciting it will be to watch them show their stuff. I can't wait, I know we have 8 days, 15 hours, etc. but I'm ready to pack my bags now and get going. This waiting is for the birds.
