I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Dear Emptynester,
No calls or letters yet this week. Thought I might have gotten something today, but with the Memorial Day holiday, the mail is off by one day. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything about Division 215.

Jan, I guess the Navy doesn't plan the bootcamp around us! There will be a lot of people travelling! Luckily for me, I am going early to get in some shopping so I should be there when he calls! I keep thinking they will get to call earlier since they seem to be the last division going through BS but maybe not. My son is NOT a letter writer so I live vicariously through the letters you all get!

We will be driving up ... from Texas the morning of the 9th. The only phone call I have gotten so far was the call letting me know he made it to the GL, hopefully he will have the common sense to call the cell phone IF he actually gets to make a call!! Speaking of... any other parents that want to keep in touch are more than wlecome to reach out in a private message and I'll happily share my family's information!

kledford- Congrats to you and your husband. Let him know that we are all proud of him.

Judy- My son was also sick from the shots but stated that his fever was not over 100 so he did not have to miss anything, he was just given some meds. When I talked to my sone he said that BS was the 3rd he said that they were the 1st group to do it.. so I am a little confused. hopefully I will get a letter that will give me the correct date becuase I do not want to miss the call as well. He also talked about the "captains cup" I think that was the name but it is one last competition and he said that after that they will get to go to a place that has "fast food" and pool hall.

Sophia - did your husband give you a date for BS's? just wondering if you have a different date.... who knows. I just keep my phone with me constantly and jump everytime it rings.

Not too much longer and our feelings of helplessness will be feelings of pride and excitement. Have a great day everyone.

I was wondering when to stop writing to Colby. I don't figure they will get mail during BS. My last letter to him may be Sunday. I have written every day since he left to make sure he got mail every day. I don't want him to miss a day.

ProudNavyGrandmother - no...I haven't heard about gas chamber but I understand it's the same week as hell week which should have been last week, but I could be wrong. I received a letter last Thursday, and he said that this was possibly the LAST letter I would receive prior to graduation but I hope not...so I'm in the dark. 8 MORE DAYS..woot woot!!

Ty's Mom: My grandson is also Ship11/Div216 and we were told the same thing: BS on the 9th. Haven't heard from him in about 2 wks except for a short message on the answering machine last Friday saying they scored a 4.9 out of a possible 5 on their marching drill. Have you heard when they did the "gas chamber"?
