I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Hi joshswife, I am bringing my 9 year old girl to PIR and to the Meet and Greet at Ramada Inn. She misses her big sister and is so excited to go to PIR.

Is there anyone else taking kids to PIR? Mine are 8 and 6 and I wanted to make goodie bags for any kiddos coming. So will anyone be bringing kiddos maybe age 2 to 14?

shaeaj~ I'm sorry to hear your sons PIR date got pused back, but so glad to know he took care of whatever was hurt. His health comes first, with out that he wouldn't do as well. But I know it must have been so hard when you got the news. Happy 21st to him I bet the guys in his division are celebrating with him and he's celebrating with you at heart. Have you looked for your ship and div in the boot camp group? I know they have a few divisions there with our PIR date.
My husband didn't pass his first PT test and I'm waiting to find out if he passed his 2nd. If he didn't he will get push back 2 weeks. That's not what I want, but I know everything happens for a reason. Have a very happy birthday! Did you send your son a bday card?

Dear emptynester,
We heard from our son also this evening. Not as long of a call, but still was wonderful to hear from him. They had just finished their PT test and had done well so they got to call. He expects to receive his orders for A school during the 6th week. They've had their uniform fittings but haven't had their pictures done yet. Glad that you heard from your recruit.

Tristan's Mom, You can get all kinds of info about PIR if you go to www.navy.mil. Click on the "information box" on the blue line, click on the letter B (for bootcamp), click on Families and in the pull down bar there is "graduation". Alot of info in this area as to what the recruits can and can not do/wear, how far they can travel from base, what time the ceremonies are, etc. My son knows when he leaves GL and where he is going. It is strange the RDC's in your sons division aren't telling them anything. The only thing my son doesn't know is who has to stand watch, when after graduation. good luck!

Hi Krystal! I, too, received a call! Sounds like their division is doing great. My son sounded so good so I'm sure your husband was upbeat as well. He has passed everything including the PFA. Said he couldn't believe he has been there a month! And, gasp, he said he missed the dogs! I had to laugh. He wanted me to smuggle them on the plane to Chicago. :) They now have earned two flags! Go Division 215!

We got a phone call! His phone card ran out of minutes though and the one his mom sent is going to be there tomorrow. So some nice guy let him use his card to call us! It was 10 minutes and we had a bunch of family here so it was hard to hear and everyone was trying to get me to ask him questions so we didn't have as nice of a talk as I would have liked. He said they were doing well though and earned another flag. Thanks to the recruit who let him use the card so I could at least hear his voice...I wish I had gotten his name!

Got I lettter from my son today he said some guys in his division got in trouble that is why no phone calls. He said he has passed all his inspections so far so he expects to graduation on time.He said his leave on 6/11 will only be from about 11AM to 7PM because he leaves about 2:00AM next morning for Pensecola. He said in letter you guys don't need to come to graduation if you don't want because that would not be much time to spend with me but I sure want you to come and miss you so much. There is no way we would miss his graduation. We are getting closer
