It's hard to believe that PIR is 3 weeks from this Friday! My son left 4 weeks ago tomorrow - definitely coming into the home stretch!

Charles' Mom: I"m here. I'm here! I'm Tess and my son Alex is in the same division as your son! I know that it's hard for them because talking is limited and most have only heard each other's last names. But I will tell my son to look for Charles. I'm sure that my son is probably the tallest recruit in the division. That might help. My son left on April 13th as well. I have received one letter and three phone calls so far but it's been a while since I have received them. I feel fortunate to have gotten those calls though. I imagine it's in the Navy's best interest to be sure that your son's foot heals. So, I"ll bet he's being taken care of. Let's see if we hear something from old division 210 this week, okay? It's going to be all right. Good night to you too!

Hello N4Ms.....hugs to all for hanging in there and keeping your spirits high.
I have only received one letter from Charles since he left April 13th, and one phonecall. This waiting game is killing me, and I am so longing to hear from him. I have no clue how he is doing , and if his foot is getting any better. I pray that he will write and i get some mail by Wednesday or Thursday.....gosh...that seems so far away. In his letter he asked me about other moms names who's kids are on Ship 11 Div 210, but I have no idea who has a recruit in div 210 other than Jeffs mom. And who knows how many 'Jeffs' there might be in his div. Nevertheless, he things it is 'cool' that I am talking with other moms on N4Ms. I wish all a restful night and hope that you all will get a phonecall or letter from your recruit. To all the recruits, I hope they will continue to be strong and motivated, and successfully complete upcoming week 5...good night all

FYI - At BC, DMI stands for Dynamic Material Inspection. The recruits have to either remake their bunks or change uniforms while being watched and timed by the inspector.

Hello ladies~ It's been a few days since I've posted on here so I just wanted to say hello. I swear I log onto NFM's atleast 4 or 5 times a day to read the post. No matter when I log on you guys are always able to pick me up or make me laugh. Just wanted to remind all of you how awesome you are and how lucky your guys (and girls) are to have you in their lives. For those of you who did not get calls remember your sailor loves and misses you dearly and your letters are what keeps them going everyday. I can not wait to meet you all.

Tristians Mom - I know what you mean. My son uses Sundays as the count down. I know my son would work hard as well in order to get a phone call.My girlfriends son went through boot camp 3 years a go and she only recieve 2 phone calls the whole time.... so I should consider myself lucky! Try to have a good night and hopefully we will get a letter if they even got to write this week... (

Hopefully they got mail today so that will give them a little bit of a pick me up. I've been mail on Thursdays, that seems so long to wait to hear about his week. I guess it could be worse though. It's 9 pm here, so 8 pm in Chicago.

I can't wait to meet you Moms Sophia & Sealifedifferently - I thought I would make name tags with T face and division...one with T's dads name, one with me Judy and of course Miss Katie T's GF. Any suggestions Moms??

Not Fair!! I know T can't wait for Sundays...and he works his tail off just so he can get to call home and his GF Miss Katie...We have been back and forth on the phone planning PIR, what attractions to take in that T wouldn't miss depending on how hard the adrenaline drops after...We shall see!!

Tristians Mom & Sophia - Hugs to you...;. I am sitting here thinking the same thing right now... usually I get one by now. I think we have been spoiled by the amount of calls that we have recieved that we have gotten use to it...
