I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

We got letters today!!! His mom got 2 and I got 9 lol. He figured we would just read them to each other instead of him having to repeat everything twice. And to make it even better he called while I was opening them! It was strictly business though lol just letting me know that the baby is enrolled and DEERS and stuff and what I need to do. The letters were great! The first one was sad but after that it was better. He is actually enjoying himself now which makes me happy. He was a little upset though because they weren't doing well on some inspections so they lost a phone call they should have gotten and he said there are some people who don't stop talking when they should. But overall they are doing well and he says he is getting along with everyone. I can't wait until next Thursday when I get the next set of letters!!!

Sophia- My son is also in ship11/div209 and it is nice to hear that they did well in their marching... thanks for the update.

I got a letter today. My husband said that they have a big test today I think (it's hard to tell what days he means) and that they could get held back a week or two depending on how they do. So fingers crossed that all of our guys do well - I guess this is one time we don't want a phone call!! He said that his division (Ship 11 Div 209) did really well in the marching so that is great!

Charles' mom- there is a group Sailor Rescue on this site. Since you ahve your plans for travel already adn it might need to bump back Maybe you could get soem help from them. Like if he is a week behind and you had to still lfly out you could change your return ticket and lodge at a sailor moms home for a couple of days. moving the hotel stay to be when his PIR is.
As for stress fractures I seem to recall from my sons cross country days you can still do stuff just have to slow it a bit.

Yeah for those who got mail.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that I received several letters today from Wayne. The reason why he hasn't called is because he didn't have a phone card. I am soooo releived that was the reason for no call. He did write me a letter on Mother's day. I'm a bit disappointed that my recruiter never told me about a phone card or that no information was ever given to us stating that he needed one. BUT - I can't wipe the smile off my face, I feel like the joker in batman. It's a great feeling.

He says the work is really hard but he's met lots of friends and that they hang out at night and do some lifting...he says he has a 6 pack...lol. He also said there are a few cute girls and he'll be hanging out with friends on liberty.

Now I just have to find out who his friends are, hopefully in the next letter.

Thank you God, and Mr. Mailman! :)

Prayers for Charles from me too. And for all the recruits. Anything can happen. I haven't counted my chickens yet (man, am I dating myself) but am cautiously optimistic! Tess

Charles Mom- I will keep Charles in my prayers that his injuries do not impact his greaduation date. If it should remember that we are still here for you and it will be for his own good. I believe he should be fine.... I would tell you not to worry but you are a mom and that is what we do,.... I seem to find things to worry about when there is nothing aparent at hand. Just keep thinking positive thoughts.

Sajest- my heart breaks for you, but your letter will come I am sure of it. I did get a letter which is good but it only said the same things that he said to me on the phone. My sone has not told me detailed information like some of the other girls and guys but I am just ahppy to get a letter that says he is doing fine. Hang in there.... I have also been sendign letters everyday but my son said that he likes getting mail so I don't think Steven minds at all.

FOTF - please be patient I am sure that you will get a letter or some kind of communication. Remember that we are here for you.

Tess - that was funny "L" my son also stated that the food was good so atleast that is one thing that we do not have to worry about.... unless they just think that our food sucks!!!! ha! ha!

Godd night to everyone and hopefully the mail person will be good to the rest of you tomorrow.
