Laurel...my BF is in Div 216. I received his first letter last Friday. He wrote it Sunday and it was mailed on Tuesday. He told me in the letter that it was ok to write to him, but I have been since 4/26. Im thinking last Sunday was when they got their first mail and it was after he wrote his letter. Cant answer the phone call question. He hasnt called me yet. Today is a bad day for me. For the first time since he left, I cried and his old voicemails and texts arent helping. Hopefully youll get another call tomorrow!

Hey, I'm a mom with a son in Ship 11 Div. 216. I have only gotten one letter so far and missed his call by 5 minutes. Are they able to write and how long does it really take to get letters to him and from him. I have been writing to him from day one. I fully understand that while in bc they are extremely busy. Also, on phone calls, if they are unable to reach us are they allowed another shot at calling? Can anyone answer some of my quesitons. Thanks

Ok so I have to tell someone what I did today and you guys are the most likely to understand. I received my first letter from my BF last Friday and in it he said how he missed the people in this game we play together. So I rounded up all of his friends and had them say something special to him on the game so that I could take a screenie. Each screenie was made into a picture, along with some pics of his family that I kinda maybe took from his family's sites. lol. I sent them in a card today to help him feel loved. Told him it was to celebrate PIC week and being 1/2 way thru BC! Had to tell someone!! lol. Thanks for letting me brag a lil bit. I was proud of my idea. lol

Just got my first phone call!! Thank goodness he is doing great and said that his div did well and got phone privileges today. 30 minutes. I have never been so happy and excited as I was today. He had to try 3 times before I answered. He said he is doing great. Got his wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago and said he feels good and is healthy. He said he was eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly... Hum....Said he has done really well on his tests and that his division was doing great. I'm one happy mom!

I did get a call this Sunday and it was so nice to hear from him. I told him that I had been listening to the card he gave me the year before and he just laughed and said what ever works! He said things were going well but he was a little tired because he had night watch 3 nights that weel 2-4 AM and then again that night so he was not getting much sleep. I just cannot wait to meet you all and see out loved ones graduate.

I am happy for all the people tha received letters and/or phone calls and will be praying for the ones that did not, that they will soon get some contact.

Have a good night and I will lchat with you all tomorrow.
