I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

I'm so disappointed because my son doesn't have a phone card and we only have cell phones in our house, no land lines so if he can't call collect and doesn't have a phone card, I guess I won't be getting a phone call. I didn't realize you can't call collect on a cell phone. :(

Gonna run out and purchase a phone card today and mail it out first thing Monday morning. But that doesn't help me for this weekend. I read the previous post that said they can buy them at the NEX but are they allowed to go there and buy them and with what money? I'm so anxious to get his call.

I haven't heard much other than what she posted on here. I have her as a friend on face book, but she hasn't been on there either. But if I hear anything at all I will be sure to update everyone.

Thanks a ton Sophia I feel much better. BTW ladies...I sent Nukeswife a Happy First Mother's Day card from us at NFM's. I thought it would be nice since I wasn't sure if big Trevor was going to be able to send one. Just wanted to let you all know.

joshswife - my husband was able to buy a calling card there. He said they got a card with $XX to spend at the PX and then after that is spent he can use his debit card. But he did ask me to mail them to him. So he should be able to get one there to call you with.

does anyone know if they get calls for week 3? Didn't they finish week 3 now? I think I read they get calls at week 3 and week 7, but I'm not 100% positive...

Morning Moms...joshswife-Yes they can purchase calling cards at the Nex, also if you really wanted to you can call up your cell phone company and ask them to set you up to receive collect calls.

Yay for you sajest! I know that the rest of your week will be so great. I did not send my husband with a calling card because he recruiter said they could buy them there. However I did but him one last week and mailed it with Friday's letter. I'm sure he will not get it by tomorrow though. Do you know if they are able to purchase them there? Because we only have a cell phone and he can not call collect. Now I feel awful if he has the chance to call and can't. Sorry didn't mean to bring your mood down. I am so very excited for you and your family. And I am sure that it did help Steven as much as it did you. BTW my oldest son's name is Steven...it's a great name!

ZOMG!!!!!!

I got a letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop smiling. It's super short, but totally worth it. He sent it on 5/2 and I just received it. He is in Div 216, so for all of you out there with a loved one in that division, I wish you luck on a letter!! He did say that some of the other recruits are causing trouble so they aren't able to do alot of things.

He also told me I could start sending letters, but I've been sending them since 4/26...hopefully he has gotten some of them :-(

Anywho, good luck to you all :D

Okay, I see that your are Div 210. Sorry about that. Moving around in this thing is like a maze. I haven't found anyone in his div that has received anything...yet...so I am wondering if the mail person is still being trained. I just hope he is receiving my letters. Thanks for the words of comfort. Wish I were a little fly on the wall..... ;} Thanks again, Tess.

Mimi/Ship 11, Division 212: I got your message but could not directly respond to your entry --not sure why. Anyway, my son is not in your recruit's division, but I just wanted to reach out to you and tell you that I am so sorry that you haven't received a letter yet. You are probably feeling very lost and heartbroken and you are not alone. Please try to hang on a bit longer. I'm sure it's hard to hear about all the others who have rec'd mail and/or calls already but I'm sure that this is not the case for many. I think it just depends on how the RDC's are handling their divisions and, of course, getting mail in or out seems to be a slow process for everyone. I'll bet that your recruit is just working hard and the time is going by so fast that it's been hard to do much else. Or maybe he?/she? sent a letter but the letter hasn't found its way out of there yet --like most of the letters you read about on this site. Hopefully you can connect with someone in your division soon, which might make you feel a little better. Write to all of us anytime so that we can try to give you some comfort and let you know that we are all going through this tough time together. Stay positive! You will not be empty-handed for long!
