Oh Nukewife1016 - So very happy to hear your new bundle of JOY is thriving. I'm sure you would be exhausted but over the moon over baby Trevor Blake!! Please keep us in the loop on how life is going for you with Trevor Blake...though I have adult children they have yet to produce any Grand babies.
LMC...Thank You for the valuable incite over what to wear to pir. My only son went private schools until high school and had to dress formal to school...so we are not knew to this dress code.

Hey everyone! I brought home Baby Trevor Blake last night! I'm so exhausted! He was born 5-2-10 at 6:35pm. 8lbs 10oz 21 inches. The Red Cross finally got the message to my husband Monday evening and his chief let him call from his own personal phone for 3 minutes to see how we were doing! Now I just have to get settled in...it would be sooo much easier if my husband were here!

LMC-Thanks so much! I will go online and check that stuff out. I know things are held indoors, but I also heard there's a pretty good walk everywhere you go.
I tried calling the RTC the other day and just got a recording both times, I'm glad you got through. Have a great day.

FYI- PIRs are held indoors no matter what tie of year. or weather.IThey do have Air Conditioning in there. I hope that helps.

My source was the Recruit Training Command. I called there and asked today.

Joshwife- I'm from Cleveland area. I'm gonna try and explain a style that you might want to have your young ones wear. The layered look, crisp t-shirt with a dress shirt over it. and a light rain/windbreaker. (breathable/ packable style) I'm not sure how old your children are but that seems to get young and teenagers. I am not a fashion expert but I am a mom of 3 scouts. the layer look offers you the shirt buttoned up and open and off.
It is windy in Chicago and so at least layers will help ya. The packable rain/wind breaker is great because they get as like the size of a 1 quart food bag. and most have a loop to hang them off a belt loop using a carabiner (spelling? clip used by campers) I put a link on here that will lead you to a store my hubby uses for a lot of our sporting needs. http://www.campmor.com you can at least look at there to see what the heck I'm talking about. DIck's sporting good s sell the jacket and Kohl's may have some too. Hope that helps. this advice comes from a mom of boys only. You could also think of what you would wear in Texas about Nov time would be my guess I've never been to Texas.
