I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Laurie62 - Hi I'm Judy, Tristan's mom. Sean and T are on the same ship 11 div 209. I haven't seen you on PIR 6/11. T called yesterday...he said that he is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, meaning life is tolerable at bc. T says he passed PT in the top 10%...got his Petty Officer to smile, at something he said/did. He said he was given a task for his team...all the administration that goes on for the division...If he does well on the written test today he will finish PIR at E2. I'm a real prod MaMa...can you tell. Are you coming to PIR, if so where are you staying? are you going to meet n greet at the Ramada?

No "treats" or anything like that. A card or letter from a student wishing them well. We were told not to expect phone calls either but obviously not all RDC's are the same. I'm viewing this as the end of week 3. Forget P week. I'm counting since the day he left and arrived --Tuesday, April 13th. I'll deal with that pesky last "extra" week when we get to it. I hope all recruits passed the test today!

We got a phone call from Sean yesterday and a letter today. He sounds good and he's trying to do well on the testing. He is very tired, not getting much sleep. We had plans to stay the whole weekend for graduation and were really looking foward to spending alot of time with him. But last night he told us he is Grad and Go and will leave for A school the day of graduation or early Saturday morning. Can't stop crying. Ship 11 Div 209

i just LOVE seeing those days get less and less. two weeks down. :)

We may be thinking like wives and mothers - not RDC's! I've heard that it's best not to send them anything flashy, any treats, any cards with music, etc as the RDC's may use that to make fun of the sailor who receives the goodies!

Do all the divisions of a ship PIR on the same date? Just wondering...

Thanks Josh's wife and Olga. That's so thoughtful and generous of you both. I think the children's cards and letters are great. Actually, my son is in division 210 but we will think of something. I think that the divisions are 80 or so each?? But the cards could be given out by your husband especially to those he believes will not be getting mail or phone calls. So, that should narrow it down. For the looks of this site, most of these recruits have very supportive loved ones. This is such a great act of kindness. I'll think on it for our division. Right now I'd better get back to work or I'm going to get myself in trouble....50 pushups! :)

I am with you Tess and Olga~ I could have my children's classes make small cards and we could send them with our recruits mail and just let them know to pass them out. My husband is in DIV 212 so it is different than yours, that way all of our recruits will have a little piece of something to brighten their day. I will write my husband today and see how we can do that. If you ladies hear anything about it please let me know too. And Olga you are blessed to have such a great support system!

Awesome. The younger students are just the best for sending cards too. They are always so much fun and uplifting. Actually, at my firm we sent cards and small gifts to the troops last Christmas. We should do this in every division. Hmmm.....

I'm new to this; but it seems great. I'm glad to know there are others going through all of this as well. I love the countdown and can't want until there is no time left..
