I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Hi Everyone. I got a call from my son at approx. 1PM (California/PST) today. He said that he had 35 minutes to talk. He sounded better than last week. Says that things are getting a little better day by day. Says that his division (maybe others??) have a test (written/codes/procedures) tomorrow. He was instructed by the RDC to say "I will pass the test tomorrow" to me or others on the phone. Positive thinking! They must not be doing too badly in his division if they are getting to use the phone. Or maybe they lucked out in getting "nicer" RDC. Not sure. Regardless, I am very grateful. He still says it sucks there though :) My younger son got to talk to him for a minute and told me that Alex said "No way I'm screwing up. I want out of here" --meaning he doesn't want to be held back and wants out on time --6/11/10. Sounds good to me. Anyone else get a call today? Sunday? If so, please share. Oh yeah, still no mail. Says they are getting it organized and should be getting it any time now. So, maybe mail doesn't come in the same way as mail doesn't go out --to those of you waiting patiently for a letter??

Sophia- Nope I have not recieved a letter, but I did get a quick phone call last Sunday. My son told me that starting this Sunday that they were going to get 4 hours to themselves, not sure if that is still true since I think they linger stuff to them to do good. That is how he got a phone call last week. But when I got the call last weekend it was about 5:30 thier time (which is almost is.... ) so still hoping that the phone might ring. I am still just keeping to the saying "no news is good news" I am so afraid of going anywhere just in case he calls and I do onot want to be anywhere where my cell phone will not work. So house work it has been all day! That is one good thing that came out of the waiting.... lots of cleaning.... I think you could eat off the floors ha! ha!

Have a nice night everyone!

Sophia- Funny My hubby is at work and he just called. He asked me why I sounded distracted at first. I said, "well, I thought he might be calling. Wish we could at least get a call." to which he replied" the call will come when the call can come."

Hugs to ALL!

Anyone else sitting around waiting for a phone call? I wish I knew ahead of time whether he is going to be able to call. Not knowing is soo hard!

Today makes exactly two weeks since i've seen my boyfriend. I have to admit, I'm proud of myself of how well I have handled everything. Thanks to everyone here I'm holding it together better than I ever thought I would be. I can just read other people's comments and not even be involved in the conversation and I feel like that is helping me be stronger. Thanks for that everyone. Still patiently waiting for a letter or phonecall.

Tristan's Mom and Sealifedifferently: Thanks for the kind words. I think that we are just all speaking from our hearts, our guts. I am constantly worried too and am cautious about being over confident. Anything can happen! But we all have to exhale at some point, and breath again. I know that in times of great stress and challege, my son needs me to be very strong and convey that strength in my voice, my actions and words -- even if I'm ready to fall apart (often). So, all we can do is be as courageous as possible and love them unconditionally. They are awesome and inspiring to us all, just for having taken on this test. They already have succeeded and we love them. They know this. We're moms, grandmas, wives...we worry! But like someone here already said "They take their cues from us" and we lead the way. You are a good mom. Hold onto that.

A dress should be fine. JUst make sure when you're outside the wind doesn't get the best of it. LOL We are still a roller coaster here in Cleveland area as to temps. Some days need no coat and others a mid weight one to start the day. I've been to Chicago once and they don't call it the windy city for nothing. Just remember (as far I know) we're seated indoors and it's bleacher seating.
I know one thing for sure is I'm wearing flat shoes. :)

Dear Sealifedifferently,
Our son (Ship11Div215) also called yesterday afternoon and we only spoke to him for 10-15 minutes. I know for certain he didn't get to talk for an hour!

Hi all! Our son called about 1 pm today. He said it's not as bad as he thought it might be. Likes his camos. Division is doing good - so they got phone privileges today. They haven't started mail call yet. Many are having trouble with marching --our boy is thankful for all those years of marching band. He's looking forward to a ball game at Wrigley after PIR. Said they are still on schedule but warned us they could be delayed. Also said that his school doesn't start right after PIR - has a week, I think. He said that he has to do a lot of studying. Ship 11 Div 215 Does feel a lot better to have received that first call.
