I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

I.m wondering...How do we know that the address we were given on the return address on the form letter is correct...stuff like that goes through my mind constantly...I have a headache...don't like when the mind gets carried away and the rich thing about it is I let myself go there!!

Tristians-Mom - I know it plays games with your mind... I know that "no news is good news" but it sure is hard. He said that he wrote the letter last Sunday when I spoke with him but I do fell better since hearing that Nukewife's husband said that he has not been able to mail his... so not sure if it ever got mailed. What worries me the most is that when I talked to him he said that he had not recieved any of my mail... I told him that I send about 7 so I guess he knows there are coming. I can not imagine them there with no encourgement from us.... that is the heartbreaking part. Nukewife stated that her husband has not recieved any of her mail either... hopefully soon because I think they need it. Thank God we have each other... :) it sure makes me feel better to talk with you all.

Sealifedifferently - You're not alone I did not receive a letter from my son either and their in the same division...No news is good news, but man sure does leave room for a lot of scenarios that run through my mind...like maybe he was let go and is afraid of contacting his family...I had a nightmare of this playing out...ugh!!

Nukewife - Congrats on the phone call. I am so excited for you. It is nice to hear good news even though again today I have not recieved my letter yet. There is always Monday! I will be praying for you that he gets to call you tomorrow.

Sophia- Thanks! I had heard about paternity leave but didn't know anything about it. His recruiter told us that he would only be granted leave from boot camp in the case of a death. I think that he would be able to take the paternity leave after boot camp though.

Thank you all so much. I know i'm just being impatient. I keep re-reading those four lines on the form letter. They bring so many emotions, good and bad, but then again it makes me want to hear more from him. I know they're coming, slowly but surely. I'm just so thankful for the people on this site. They are making this a lot easier.

Nukewife - here is a link to the Navy's paternity leave policy, if you didn't know about it. They get 10 days http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=40949 not sure if he would be able to leave boot camp or not or if he could use it later. And congrats on having the baby tomorrow!!

I just got a call from my husband!!! It was wonderful to hear his voice. He said he doesn't know how they got a call because his division hasn't been doing too well I guess. It was very hard to hear him at times...he said the pay phones sucked. He was excited to hear I am having the baby tomorrow...I hope they will let him call once the Red Cross informs them of the birth. He sounded ok...he never cries though so it was weird hearing the tears in his voice. He has written a bunch of letters but has not been able to send them out. He said he would be able to do that tomorrow. He still hasn't gotten any of my mail yet :(

Happy Saturday to all!
Here are a few suggestions while you wait for your letter-

Go to groups and search for your state. A lot of states have groups. Ohio does- I know I joined it. (northeastern has an event next Sat 5/8/10 - Pam join us it's not to late. -Right, MammaKK?)

Next check out the EVENT tabs. They have events listed by dates you might find something going on nearby you that you'd like to attend.
Enjoy your day!

It's great to have so many members here to to lean on.
Hugs to all and prayers too.
