sesommer - don't be worried! No news is good news, it means he is passing all of his tests. You might to send him a calling card if he didn't take one so he has it. My husband got one at the commissary, but he asked me to send him more when he called.

I haven't received any letters back yet either but I know my son Jeff is doing fine and I will be getting a letter very soon.My son has never been much for writing so it will be short not much detail so if any mothers want to share parts of their letters when they get them I would love to read about them.

Hi sesommer - You have come to the right forum we are all lonely for our Recruiters. I'm Judy and I welcome you. We are all hoping and praying for our Proud determined son/daughter, or loved one to complete their transformation into a wonderful force of loyal volunteer warriors that our country can be proud of. What they need from us is to encourage them tell them in letters that we are proud of them.love them and believe in them...we can be patient and vigil and when we need to vent our emotions...well what better then a sisterhood.

Charles'mom- you are definetly not alone... I have my ups & downs. I have not cried a whole lot but today when I did not get the letter that I have been expecting since Sundy, I finally just let it all out! I feel much better now... Also the women on this site always know how to make us all feel better. Remember that we are all here for you. ... We are all in the same boat (ha! ha!) we miss and worry about our children but that is our JOB!

Nope...but I talked to Katie his GF she talked me down from my fears..she knows my son and she concurred that Tristan has a short fuse and has a hard time being told what to do...this is why i'm on pins & needles he doesn't like being yelled at thinks it's disrespectful. Now for his good trait's he only speaks when he has something profound to say and he has the funniest sense of humor. UGH!!

I have been trying to cope with all of this the best that I possibly can. It sure isn't easy, and I don't know how some of us can do it. I have this need to cry, because I miss my son so very much, but I can't. This is beyond me. I want/ need to cry so bad, just to release some of this build up pressure. But all I feel is numb. My heart is bleeding and yet, my emotions are locked deep inside. I just don't know how to let it out...............being an introvert doesn't help, and it is hard to open up and express myself..............I so need to cry.............
