Hello all....just stopping by to say 'Hello' and hope, that by now everyone has heard from their loved one. I have heard from my son last Sunday when he called me. It was so great to hear his voice. He sounded a little depressed and discouraged, but I am sure he will be allright. I wonder if he made any friends, yet. He didn't say much about it. I hope he will call me again this Sunday....I miss him so much.........

Pam - My husband told me he was leaving for A School either on the day of graduation or the day after. It just depends on where they are going. Some guys might go to A School in Great Lakes, in which case they would have to go check in at A School and then they would have liberty the rest of the weekend (with curfews). At least that is how I understand it. Ask your recruit if you get a phone call or in a letter.

Ya know I booked Ramada on Thursday 6/10 because of Meet & Greet, would'nt miss that for the world; but were thinking of staying until Tuesday..Never been to Chicago would really like to treat my son our son to a Baseball game and the sites. His GF will be accompanying My Husband and Myself...I booked the rest of the stay @ the Residence Inn cause of the fully equipped kitchen where I can bake sons favorite dinner; It will be a long time before I will be able to cook for him with 4-5 months at A school.

My son Terence also is graduating on this date. He is with ship 11 div 214. I am so excited. We are trying to decide -- drive or fly -- we live near Saratoga, New York in a town called Halfmoon so the drive will be 14 or 15 hours. I hope he and all of his shipmates are doing well... love him and think about him constantly,
