I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

Sealifedifferently - I have not received any mail either; I'm going Banana's here...I broke down and called his recruiter but he was out to lunch. So I spoke to His Supervisor...He remembers Tristan said they threw a going away party for him...he reassured me everything is going to plan and sometimes they forget to pick up mail at some divisions.

Sealifedifferently....

Thanks for the information about Kenny. Hopefully I will be able to connect with his Mom on here.

Sajest...

I am from Texas, but Zach is from Louisiana. He has been living with his dad for awhile. Zach is 21 years old. We made our hotel reservations at the Springhill Suites. They have a shuttle to/from the Base as well. Zach will have several family members including his sister and GF coming up for his graduation. His letter was uplifting. He can't wait to see everyone.

Jakob and Lily's Mom: No, I haven't rec'd any mail since the box and form letter. I think my son's phone call last Sunday was his "letter". Maybe he didn't have time to write. You will get a letter and/or a call soon. I don't want to get your hopes up but when my son said something about the RDC using phone calls as "carrots" (carrots/sticks). Then again, Alex was tired and I'm not sure if any of them are in their right mind right now! He could be wrong about that. He did say something about the RDCs as being "pretty cool". Don't worry about the running. Running is a great stress-reliever and probably a good diversion right now. I hear all the time about recruits (especially the women) pulling through even when they didn't think they could do it. There is motivation behind this running. He will make it. If you can, tell your husband to look for the tallest guy in his division. I will tell Alex to watch for Luke. I don't want to steer anyone wrong with incorrect info, but I heard that if they don't pass a test, you will get a call. No news is good news. Stay positive!

Moon- YEAH!!!! does that mean you'll send us mail? :D It si great to know you will also keep the PIR 6/11 in your thoughts. We need as much holding as we can get.
Now as for the voices sounding crackling My son wrote his GF about not smiling because his RDC does something if you crack a smile. Lets just think that they are talking that way so as not to crack a smile. and I'm guessing these boys are using landline phones with a cord and heck they have never had to stay put on a phone before, I think I would be a bit down if someone took my cordless phones. :D

Everyone have a great Friday. Singing: send my N4M friends some mail make it a letter or two make it real SOON! (hope that helps. I've changed my tune)

Tristan's Mom: My son is 22 and is really counting on this too. His voice was pretty shakey on Sunday as well. I was thinking though, that since they are under so much stress and can't really talk to anyone, maybe the emotion in their voice is more of a release than anything. There is so much that they want to tell us, about what they are going through, but just hearing a familiar (and safe) voice allows them to sort of heave all that emotion that they have been holding in and that could be a huge relief. Your boy got to connect with you and hear the strength and love in your voice. I'll bet that made it a whole lot easier for him to carry on from there. Hey, I've heard discussions of guys older than 25 on this site. Send good thoughts and prayers to him. He'll feel it. Hang in there Mom. You are among friends.
