Hi to all moms of recruits with June 11th PIR! Olga invited me and I request permission to come aboard!! (Hi Olga, and thanks for the invitation). My son is on Ship 11, Division 210. I am happy and sad to report that I haven't heard anything from my son since I got the form letter and "kid in a box". That means he is hanging in there. In the meantime, I took cookies to his recruiter and stay in touch with him (recruiter) via email if I have any questions. Makes me feel better anyway. Anyway, please keep me in the loop. Good thoughts and prayers to you and your recruits. Tess

Sajest - I understnad about the clothes...I did the same thing. I guess we do whatever makes us feel better. I also am trying to believe that "no news is good news" but I sure would like to hear his voice.

Virginia - I am so happy for you that you got to talk for a few minutes....

I am thankful for all of you here.... seeing your comments and talking with you sure does make a difference...thanks so much.

Lakes. He called me real quick a couple nights ago needed a couple names and addresses for references. It was good to hear his voices even though brief.Told us he loved us but missed home.I could hear in his voice he was choking up a little.

Well, I am just checking in again...good morning to all of you. I still haven't opened the box, yet, and I am not in a hurry. His neatly folded clothes are still on my dresser, I haven't put them up in his closet. It somewhat comforts me to see his cleaned laundry stacked in my room. Yes, I guess I am a sucker for still doing his laundry at his age, but I am so picky about washing and folding clothes a particular way, I didn't have it any other way. At least he knows to seperate whites from colors. Surprisingly, it hasn't hit me, yet, that he is gone, because he has in the past spend several days away from home visiting friends. I am sure it will happen soon enough, though. I miss him nevertheless. As I mentioned before, he is on Ship II Div 210....anybody else have a child in the same slot? Wishing everyone of you a peaceful weekend and hope that all will be blessed with some 'Hello' news of your child away from home

JessicaB he will be 23. Today is my B-day and it will be the first year that we have not spent our b-days together.... we are very close. You have been so much help and again thanks for all you do.

My son is also ship 11 and divison 209. It is nice to meet someone who is inthe same group. I went ahead and sent the B-day card to day so hopefully it will get there in time. I have been doing the same with the encouragement cards. I think it makes a world a difference to get some upbeat cards. We should keep in touch through this and meet while we are there.
