Hi Kim, so glad to see that everything worked out for Derek. You both must have been so relieved. Hope you have a wonderful time with your sons next weekend!

Good Morning, ladies. Well, Lucas bought his car. ARGH!!!! A 2009 Scion tc. He's in love with it. Navy Federal gave him a loan which was good because I wasn't co-signing. The funny thing is he said he was going to spend Saturday afternoon in his room because after the down payment and paying for his insurance he was broke. LOL!!! What a riot. I guess it's a good lesson in growing up though. Now he'll have to learn to budget his money. Hey, I'm still trying to learn that! Have a great day all!

He will be in school for a total of 1 year 4 months before he gets stationed somewhere so I guess that's what he is thinking of. I really don't know if he needs us to co-sign. Didn't think of that. If he does, then he can just forget about that. I'll let you know how it all plays out. He has been transferring money to his savings account he told me when I asked him how he was going to put a down payment on the car. He said that he can't participate in the 401k until October, but he is planning on doing that. Lucas left for BC not owing us any money because I made him pay his phone bill and credit card before he left. His phone has been in his own name since he got the IPhone and that is AT&T and we are on Verizon. I told him I would pay him back for the pictures and dvd of graduation but he wanted us to Fed Ex his laptop, phone, etc to him in SC and said he would pay for that. It wound up that we had to put out $135 for that so I told him we were even.

Good morning ladies. Joanne, I think it's great that you want to take Jason to someplace nice before he has to report for duty in GA. How about the Keys. I've never been but I heard they are beautiful.
I have a summer cold and I'm cranky, so I'm venting here with my dilemma of the day. Lucas told us that he wants to now buy a car. Nevermind that there is a perfectly good car sitting at home that he was driving before he left that is fully paid for. He needs to get something new. His father and I have given him all the reasons why not to do it but, of course, he had an answer for each and every reason. What else is new! LOL! I just don't get why he would want to saddle himself with a car payment right now. I guess the money he is earning is "burning a hole in his pocket", as my mother would have said. Well, I guess it is his life now and we can only voice opinions. Thanks for listening.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Kim, I watched part of the DVD this weekend, too. (My husband worked the DVD player. I have no clue either!) Which one is Derek?

Hi ladies, I got my banner and it really looks nice. Can't wait to be able to use it.
Thanks again Cindy!!

Cindy, Facebook huh? My friend just told me I should get with the times and join Facebook. Maybe I'll look into it. :0)

Joanne, I think we just have to let them be on their own for a while since this is all new to them. Especially the new found freedom of being away from home. I'm not saying it's easy because it's not. I thought once Lucas got his phone and laptop we would be in touch constantly but he is very busy going to school and studying during the week and relaxing on the weekend. He has been calling us on Saturday mornings before he goes out. I don't call him. I email him during the week and he usually responds very late at night. Keep your chin up. This too shall pass!!! Big HUGS to you!!!!

Cindy, I can't believe it!! It only took a month for them to get together. LOL!! I spoke to Lucas on Saturday morning and he didn't say anything about it. Although, he was a little out of it from the night before. I guess they had a really good time. Thank Jared for me. He's such a GOOD boy!!!
