Hi Kim, I was "stalking" (as Cindy says) the Navy Dads website and found out that traveling on the ship with your Sailor when it comes back from deployment is called a tiger cruise. It sounds really cool!!! Google tiger cruise on USS Stennis and you will get a lot of information.

Joanne, I had a very stressful job in Manhattan with an investment bank. I was there for 25 years until one day I couldn't take it anymore. I was working for a real nasty backstabber at the time and my health was deteriorating. I quit and am now working in NJ where I drive to work rather than commute on the train and NYC subway and I love the people I'm working for. I make a lot less money but my health has improved and I'm much happier. So I'm poor. LOL!!Sometimes you have to make the move even though you are unsure and afraid. It could be the best thing that ever happened to you. I know it was for me! Lots of love and hugs to you!!!!

Good Morning, ladies. I haven't been on in a few days and look at all I missed!
Gloria, love the picture you posted on Friday night!
Cindy, so glad Jared passed his inspection! Heard from Lucas and he has personal inspection on Friday and physical fitness assessment today so he can phase up. Boy, that poster really got to you quickly. I received an email that mine is on the way. Can't wait to see it. Thank you SO much for the information and for all the great information along the way. What would we have done without you?
Wow, Kim you certainly got a lot of information from Derek. It's great that he knows where he'll be going next. Congrats to him for passing room inspection, too! It's great that our sailors seem to be adjusting so well.
Joanne, glad you had a good time camping but sorry to hear about your fall. Next time stick to the beach. I'm with Kim, feet in the surf, listening to the seagulls and waves, and smelling the ocean air is definitely the way to go.
Have a wonderful day!!!!

I didn't do the one with the photo. I would never have figured it out. I just picked the one with the American Flag and the writing.

Good morning ladies. Lucas told me about the insurance which he filled out at MEPS . He also told me that he filled out a form on who was to come and retrieve "the body", God forbid!!!! and he put his father down. He said, "Mom, you know how you are". LOL Well, yeah I know how I am but he has no idea that his father would also be a total wreck. Anyway, may we all never have to deal with any of this!!!

Cindy, I heard from Lucas about the test and he said it was okay. He passed and that's all he was concerned with. He said the studying has been going okay which I was afraid of because he was never a studier. He seems to be adjusting. Hope Jared and the rest of our nukes are too.

Have a wonderful day all!!

Hi Kim, so glad you got to spend all that time with Derek. You must have been on cloud 9.

Joanne, hope all goes well with Jason. I'll keep you both in my prayers.
