MM stands for Machinist Mate. ELT school is to be an engineering laboratory technician. I have no idea what that means though but he seems to be happy about it. He would like to eventually be picked up for staff but that seems to be really difficult right now. If he did he would stay in NY for 2 years and be a junior instructor but he would have to reenlist at that time.

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all doing well.  I found out from Lucas this weekend that he was picked up for ELT school and will be staying in NY for another 3 months.  Yippee!!!!  Have a great day all!

Good morning my fellow navy moms.  Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. I will get to see Lucas this weekend. Yay!  Joanne I hope all is well with you.  Cindy I hope Jared is feeling a little better. He doesn't need to have to deal with that when he has so much else to worry about with school. Poor thing!  Have a great day all!

Ice and Snow here in NJ.  So tired of all this bad weather!!!  Joanne, how are you feeling? Have you gotten any results? Thank you all for the congratulations.  I'll pass them on to Lucas when I speak to him. I had to beg him to call me by leaving voice messages and text messages and when he finally did he had nothing to say. He was tired because he had just woken up. Oh well....I guess I should be used to this by now. LOL! Take care!

Good Morning Ladies!  Hope everyone is doing well.  Joanne, hope you are feeling better. Kim, what a great picture of you and Derek. You look SO happy to be with him. Lucas passed his last written exam and his oral boards the other day. Now he's just waiting to hear what his orders are. I haven't had a chance to speak to him but I did get a text so I really don't know what he's hoping for. I'll keep you all posted. We are expecting more snow here in NJ today and tonight. UGH!!!  Is it Spring yet?  Have a great day!!!!

Kim, so happy that you got to spend time with Derek.  You're right about our roles though.  After Luke leaves I feel like all I did was cook and fold his clean clothes.  He has no idea where he'll be sent.  He could only tell me what he requested but we all know he will go where the Navy needs him the most. So it's a wait and see game.  Happy Birthday to Jason!!

Hope everyone is doing well and that the holiday's were good and that some of you got to be with your sailors. We didn't get to see Luke for Christmas or New Years buy saw him last weekend. He's almost at the end of Prototype and is anxious to find out where he will be next. Joanne, Happy belated Birthday!  Hope you had a good one.  Have a great day, all!

Hi everyone!  Haven't been able to be on in a great long while but glad to see you are still here and doing well.  Wanted to let all of you know that Lucas got engaged last night.  I have put a couple of new pics on my page if you want to take a look.  We are very happy, even though we feel he is SO young, because Brigitte is a great girl. The wedding won't be for a while since she has to finish school which will be next year at this time and Luke has to get settled somewhere.  He's still up in Ballston Spa and has no idea when graduation will be yet.  It was supposed to be January but has been moved back.  Hope to be able to be on here a little more often.  Love to all of you!!!!

Howdy!!! Sorry I haven't been on in a real long time but it's very hard to do this during work hours now. When I get home I really don't feel like going on the computer. I've been doing well. Have gotten to see Lucas for a few weekends and he will be home for Thanksgiving. He has to "work" for Christmas but he will be home the weekend of Dec 11 and we are going to do Christmas then. It's been so wonderful having him so close to home and I told him I'm really going to miss him when school ends and he's shipped off. :( Cindy, I'm so happy for you that you get to see Jared so often. I'm sure you feel the same way about when he has to go back to SC. Happy that all you gals are doing well. Kim, I hope you have a great vacation. Joanne, hope your mother is doing better. Cindy Lou, hope you're feeling better today. I'll try to be in touch more often. Love you all!!!!!
