Good morning all!! Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I started the new job and it's been a big learning process. The people are really nice and the first 3 weeks have really flown by. Got to visit with my sailor last weekend in upstate NY. We had a very nice time but got a whole lot of traffic coming home Sunday night. I've been dragging all week from lack of sleep. I guess I'm not as young as I used to be. LOL!
Jo - I hope your visit with your mom goes well. I know she'll really appreciate your being with her. Hang in there!
Cindy - good luck with your new school year. It's really nice that you are getting to see Jared a little more often now that he is in Kings Bay.
Kim - I'm so happy that you finally got to talk to Derek. YAY!!!!
If I got a one of these new phones I would have to go to classes too. I still have the old Razor phone. Luke keeps telling me I should get a new phone but I'm comfortable with it. Hey....I've had it 4 years and I'm just learning how to use it. LOL!
Cindy Lou - It's nice to hear that the newlyweds are enjoying their new life together. God Bless them.......and God Bless all us Navy Moms too! Most especially you ladies. Have a great weekend. I'll try to be on here more often now.

Hi Ladies. Cindy, glad the eye exam turned out okay for you and especially happy that you will be back teaching 3rd grade. YAY!!!! Kim and Joanne, hope you both hear from your boys soon. Sorry you are feeling lonely for them!

Hey gals! Glad to see you are all doing good. Joanne, it was great that you got to see your mom. I'm also happy that you were able to come to some conclusion about your job. I found a job as an executive assistant in a pharmaceutical firm. It's a contract position but right now it's better than nothing. I'm waiting for the background check to be finished before I start. They gave me a tentative date of Aug. 2nd. Cindy, it's so great that you get to spend time with Jared. Enjoy it while you can. I'm certainly enjoying any time I get to see Lucas. Hi Kim! Hi Cindy Lou!

Good morning, All. Sorry I missed our Anniversary the other day. It was such an anxious and exciting time last year and I'm so proud of all our sailors and us for getting through it all. Glad everyone seems to be doing okay. Joanne, I agree with all the comments to you by our wise "sistas". Take the time to see your mom and go with Kevin to Maine. Remember, we only go around once in this life. My last day at work was Friday. I was laid off. I have joined the ranks of the unemployed. So....if I'm not on here a lot that is because I'm out looking for a job. Wish me luck. Haven't had to do this in a while and I just stink at interviewing. Have a great day! Love you all!

Hi Cindy, we didn't really go to any other rental properties. We went to this one first because I got a good feeling when I was speaking to the rental person. Her husband was in the Army for 20 years so she said she has a special place in her heart for the military. I'll send you her name and number. I'm at work right now and don't have it with me. Also, I asked Lucas how the ride was because they were told in a briefing in GC that where he lives, Clifton Park, wasn't a good place to live because the ride was too long. Lucas said that he and his roommate beat the people who are living in Saratoga because they hit more traffic in Saratoga than Lucas hits on the highway. I'm just glad it's working out for them.
Also, I'm in for the meet next summer. Woo Hoo, something to look forward to!

Hey Gals! Dana, so sorry to hear about your loss. Love and hugs to you, Matt and your whole family.
Laura, hope you have a great time with Matt in VA. I certainly hope Matt appreciates everything you do for him so he can hold on to his money.
Jo, so glad you got to spend time with Jason. Good luck on the interview today!
Cindy, I so want to come and spend time in your Tiki hut and pool. Maybe I can wish myself there. LOL!
This weekend Lucas surprised us and came home. He got his schedule for the time he's on hold and he'll have next weekend and one weekend in July off before school starts.....so he decided to come home and spend time with us and his girlfriend. It was a wonderful surprise. He's also coming next weekend which makes my husband happy since it's Father's Day. It's so nice having him close. Unfortunately, it will be harder when he goes but no use thinking about that now.

Hi gals! Finally got a chance to post on here. Got back to work on Monday and we had to move to a new location while I was away. You can imagine the mess I've been in since returning. Well, graduation was wonderful! It was great to see my sailor and meet his friends. Cindy, I got some good pictures and will see if I can figure out how to get them posted and email them to you. The funny thing was that after graduation I saw this huge anchor and asked Luke to stand in front of it to take a picture and right after the picture was taken along came Jared. He was all dressed up in his whites (so handsome!) and was on his way to lunch. I immediately took a picture of our boys together. I also got one of him with Luke and their friend Austin. I was so happy to get to see Jared again before I left. We thankfully found Luke a great 2 bedroom townhouse to rent in Clifton Park, NY. He is going to be sharing it with another Nuke so that they will be able to save some money. All in all everything worked out well but my husband and I are so sick of driving and being in the car. Sometimes too much togetherness is not a good thing. LOL!
So.....I see I've missed a lot. Jo, I hope all goes well with your mom. I know how difficult this all is for you. I went through this with both my mom and dad. Hang in there and let me know if I can do anything. Kim, I'm so happy that you get to see Derek this weekend. Yippee!!!! Laura, sorry you didn't enjoy your prom. Hope you enjoy your party and that Matt gets to come home. Well....have to get back to work. It's nice to be back with all you wonderful ladies!
