Joanne, major snowstorm here in NJ too. I'm so worried about Lucas driving from Charleston. I called him this morning at 6:00 and left him a message about the weather report. He will be leaving school late this afternoon and will stop in VA for the night and then start again in the morning. Of course I get the annoyed "MOM!" when I go on about being careful and driviing slow. LOL! Hope everyone who has their sailor coming home has a great time. Enjoy this time since we don't know when we'll see them again. Have a wonderful day!!

Good Morning, all. Happy Birthday to Derek! Joanne, Sorry about all the drama with your mother. Think of the bright side, Jason and Ellen will be home for the holidays!!! YAY!!!! Cindy, Lucas bought gifts with his own money, too. I guess it's the miracle of Christmas. LOL! Can't wait until we see our guys. Have to get back to work. Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. Have been busy at work and that is usually the only time I have to come on to she what everyone else is up to. Cindy, how was your Thanksgiving with Jared? I'm sure you hugged the stuffing out of him! LOL!
Kim and Joanne, I agree with Cindy, you are BOTH good moms!!!
Lucas started Power School on Monday and I haven't heard from him since. From what I hear it is the hardest of the 3 schools so I don't expect to hear from him very much. For Thanksgiving he was invited to one of his friends home in NC. He went hunting (which he never did before) and killed a deer. OMG! Being a city girl, I don't know how I feel about that one and told him he killed Bambi.
He should be home for Christmas on December 19th. Can't wait to see him again! Have a great day all!

Thanks, Kim! I might try them when Lucas comes home for Christmas (fingers crossed) and see if he likes them. Then I'll know if I should send them to him. Happy that you heard from Derek and he's doing well. Hope he has someone to spend Thanksgiving with. Lucas now informed me that he's probably going home with one of the guys that lives in NC. Have a great day all!

Hi Tammy, great to hear from you and I'm happy that Lat is doing so well. Congratulations! Joanne, there is a sub moms group. Maybe they would be able to answer your questions about Jason's job as well as allay some of your fears.
Cindy, countdown to Jared coming home for Thanksgiving. I just know that you are so excited and can't wait to give him a big HUG!!!! I also second Cindy Lou's
sentiments. I don't know where I would be right now without all you gals. You all have kept me as sane as I could be during the bootcamp time and it is a great comfort to know that you are here now so I can vent and brag when I need to.
Here's to you, ladies! Have a wonderfuly day!

Hey Gals. Congratulations to Jared for graduating A School!!!
I received my blue star banner also. It is hanging proudly in my front window.
Joanne, it is for anyone who has someone serving in the military. It can be for any branch of service not just the Army. Dana, nice to hear from you. So happy that Matt is doing well!

Hey Cindy, congratulations to Jared for passing his A School Comps!!! Woo Hoo!!! Does he know when his Power School will start? I think Lucas starts on Nov. 23 but I'm not sure. Haven't really heard much from him lately. :(

Joanne, great picture of you and Jason! Tell Kevin he did a very nice job putting the poem on it. Is Jason in the apt all by himself? I know Lucas is looking forward to moving into his new quarters where he'll be in a room by himself and share the bathroom with one other sailor.
