OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My husband lived in Pa for 19 years and left at age 19 moved to California, he was born in Long Beach CA his dad was in the Navy. raised in Pa thats were they were from. When we got married his sister moved here and then his brother and then his mother so they are all living in Ca now. I flew to PA to meet his family before we got married and that was the last time I was there. His family is all here now.

Where is everyone staying I'm at the SpringHill Suites do not know if that is close to the Ramada or not do we make our own reservations for the M&G or do we do it as a group (Ship and DIV)?

Paula .. Yes, I'm from Pittsburgh (Overbrook... it's about 10 miles from downtown Pgh.). Where are you from Paula? If your husband is from Butler, PA., where did you meet him at? Does his family still live in Butler? Do you ever come to Pittsburgh or Butler to visit?

Has anyone heard about a M&G for PIR 6/4?

Jess, You're not alone in your journey. I just hope you have more happy days than sad. You mentioned that your heart swells with pride and you tear up when you're thinking about what your bf is doing . . . I too have those same feelings about my son. Honestly, when I think of him graduating in his nice white uniform, I get goosebumbs thinking about it. I am so proud of all of our recruits ... this is a tough thing for them to do.
