Jess - don't stress yourself over it. My husband was in the army when we first got married. There are rules that you do have to follow because what you do is a reflection on him. I know they have to keep their right hand free to salute if necessary and that hand holding is a no-no. However, he can offer you the crook of his left arm and you can walk together that way. Very romantic!! He'll know what he can and can't do.

yes i am going to be with my Sailor but there are so many unwritten rules for the gfs and wives of Sailors i would not want to be that girl.LOL I mean i am supposed to carry a black umbrella and a lint roller at all times.I didn't know if a little cleavage was something to worry about.:-)

I have to share a card I picked up for Jamie while I was out today. I know I'm getting anxious with it being so close, so I can only imagine what's going through his head.

KICK BUTT, Ain't No Stoppin' You, Go Get It, YES!!!, U Can Do It, Y-E-E-S, C'mon!!

Consider Yourself Encouraged and BELIEVED in Big Time!!

Denise, yes, my son is in this group with the PIR on the 4th. He's married, and just had a son in late February before he left for GL. My DiL, their son, and my husband and I will be excitedly attending the PIR. How about your recruit/sailor?

Too funny Denise! I was looking for a dress and found the shirt. I just want to be comfortable without being under dressed. We could be looking at about a two hour wait. Shuttles start running at 6:30 a.m. and the ceremony doesn't start until 9:00 a.m. I have a 3 1/2 year old that I have to amuse for the waiting period! Could be interesting!

Smoothie, can you post the link you used on Google earth? That sounds so great, and I'd love to see it, and I am betting others on this site would as well!

MV-Boone's Mom ... Is this your son that has enlisted? Do you have other children?

I too am confused about climbing aboard a ship ... can you elaborate on that? And this is for Jess... as for your dinner on Saturday night, why are you worried about your dress being low cut? Aren't you going to be with your recruit? I mean, Saturday night is going to be on our own time with our recruits, right? Or is there something going on with the "Navy"?
