Well, we made it back to Atlanta. Yes, it was very hard to leave Jamie behind last night. But we will see him again in less than three weeks!!

Shelly - It was awesome meeting you and hanging out at Wal-Mart (ha, ha) and talking to you and your family. I think my favorite time was waiting in the parking lot for the Sailors to march out and be released in the morning. Good luck to Ethan and I hope him and Jamie share lots of stories over the next couple of months!!

Clandy - loved meeting you! We had such a fun time and I commented to Jamie that he probably thought it was weird how we sat there and talked like we knew each other forever (Shelly's family too!!), and he did!! He is a story teller and it definately came through in his letters.

Also, loved meeting everyone at the Meet and Greet and Denise in the parking lot!! We had a blast and can't wait to see Jamie again soon.

Good luck to all of our Sailors!!!

Shelly, Iove all your family! You guys are all soo great! And I enjoyed hanging out and having lunch with Pam and the family! You guys are so sweet! Jamie is a talker which is good. He won't leave one detail out hehe :) I really hope we all still stay in touch! This has been a wonderful family that I've enjoyed being a part of! I wish you all on here and your sailors good luck!

Claudia you are so cute and I loved spending time with you.

Pam your family seems like so much fun and I now know why we thought our kids would get along. Ethan said that he and Jamie are alot alike and that he is glad that Jamie will be staying here for Corp school.

And by the way he does give the best hugs ever and he instructed my grandson to hug me very long and hard everytime he sees me so that I will not miss that so much. I have to admit that Mason has no problem with that and he is definetly a close second in that department. They are the type of people that put all their heart and soul into showing you how much they love you.

I loved my weekend with E and will cherish this memory forever. It was even harder leaving him today then when I left him at MEPS in Dallas. He is loving the Navy and has truly settled into his new life. It makes it easier leaving him here but it still does not make the heart miss that kid that left 8 weeks ago. I am sure looking forward to the open communication that will come once he gets to A school.

Well I'm sitting in the hotel after having a wonderful weekend with the fiance and his family. It was just as hard dropping him off today as it was the day he left but I guess we're going to have to get used to it. I'm coming back up for the 4th of July so that shouldn't be too bad. Once they settle into A school things should be a little better. We got a lot of wedding details settled so that helped my feelings too. I hope everyone had a wonderful time and safe trips home.

It was great to see Sobe/Lisa and elizabeth77 (from afar!) at PIR. PIR......How cool was that?!?!?!?!?! Boy, when that big garage door opened.....it took my breath away! I am very proud of all our sailors and grateful for all of you! I hope everyone keeps popping in on this site as we ( and our sailors) all move forward! We had a great time having him (at home!) for the afternoon!!! : )

Mine is already in GC for Nuke A School. He has his roomie from brother division 202! All is well and I wish all the best to ALL of you!

We have had a lovely time at the PIR and the weekend visit with our sailor was truly memorable! His wife took our sailor to the base, and now we're looking forward! He's heading to Goose Creek, SC, for nukes A school on Tuesday, and hopefully, moving his wife and child to the base there in a week...Anchors aweigh to you all, and I've loved being a part of this group! You've been wonderful!!! xx
