Let's help those who are coming to PIR by themselves find each other so that no one is traveling alone from the airport to Great Lakes.

Jamie said that Division 206 has battlestations the night before graduation. Cutting it close I'd say. Which kind of stinks because we'll be there on Wed.

You'll need the password to print a pass that's available the week before graduation. That is all on the navy site below. I'm not sure if it's a parking pass or an actual pass to get on base. I know there's a guest list that the recruit will submit showing their four guests. Maybe we can post this on the Boot Camp Mom’s page and get an answer to that. If it is just a car pass and if your taking a shuttle, then you won’t even need it.

susan, let me encourage you to definitely get cracking on your travel and lodging plans! From what I found, many of the hotels are already booked and full! I have our reservations at the SpringHill Suites, and I called the other day to see if we could tag on an extra early day, and there no vacancies! 29 days to go till we all get hugs again!!! :-)

susan2david, I think the password is for the bootcamp website and I don't really know why we were even given that. It shouldn't have anything to do with PIR.

Are most of y'all planning to be at the families' Meet-N-Greet at the Ramada on Thursday evening? We're timing our travel to be there!

Paua Josh's Mom: We're also at the Spring Hill Suites, but instead of booking a King Suite online, I called them directly and asked about a military discount for PIR. We got the room for $89 a night. I'd follow up and call them directly. $11 is a night savings isn't too shabby! We're only in Atlanta and I have family in Northern Indiana, about 60 miles from Great Lakes, so we're leaving Wed. and will check in at the Hotel on Thursday.

HMM I'm gonna have to check it out. It's only gonna be me so maybe I don't need the suite.
