Let's help those who are coming to PIR by themselves find each other so that no one is traveling alone from the airport to Great Lakes.

Clandy - I'll be thinking of you. Safe travels. O'hare is one of the best airports to fly into. And you will have a message when you land!!

Sobe, I have already packed my scissors & some xtra safety pins. Something to be said for driving :-) I may be closer than you are, but during boot camp, it was close but oh so far away.
It has been decided that we are driving to RTC also. But my daughter is coming down from Milwaukee so will be waiting for her. I can still be in the lobby at 6:30; grab me a bagel from the breakfast room :-)

Travel safe everyone! Wish me luck, we have the last flight out of San Francisco tomorrow night - I am praying harder than ever that there are no delays or cancellations, I've been there and done that and it is NOT fun!

I called Ramada Inn to check about their shuttle service and found this out: Anyone riding the shuttle needs to be in the lobby by 6:45am, it leaves at 7:00am. They have two large shuttles that hold around 40 people. They come back to the base to pick people up at 11:30 (one hour after PIR is over). So that makes my decision easy - I am driving there! I only have one day with my son, I don't want to waste any time on the way back.

I am using JGoody's idea of just making a simple ribbon and pinning it. I have LOTS of ribbon left over, so if you need one, bring a safety pin or pendant and you're set. But I can't bring scissors on the airplane, so we'll need to figure that part out! Meet me in the lobby of the Ramada at 6:30 and we can use the desk clerks scissors!

Good luck on BS-21 tonight!!!

Oh wow, so I'm soo very nervous! I will be boarding my plane at 12:30 ish and landing in Ohare at 5:40 pm. I won't be able to know what happens when the hubby lands until then. I've been praying all day and night! At the sametime, trying to breathe. LOL

Congrats newyearsbaby! I was wondering if anybody who got honors was on here :)

Hoping all the ones who are doing battlestations tonight do well!

Jamie'sMom - you have had a big day! I have to say that the hard part is getting through the day tomorrow waiting for that call. So rest peacefully tonight, you will climb walls tomorrow. :-) We all know that they will be just fine, but I do so understand how you feel.
good night, sleep tight, see you tomorrow!

Although I am throughly exhausted from traveling all night and then visiting with family in friends here in Indiana all day, I don't think I'm going to get much sleep knowing that my son is doing battlestations! Good luck to all going tonight and Congratulations to all that have come through it already! We check into our hotel room in Waukegan tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.

Congratulations to those who have made it through BS-21 and to those who got calls today. Jason is going tonight also, and we are looking forward to a call tomorrow. I'm travelling to Great Lakes so my husband will let me know when he gets the call. I hope to meet some of you on Friday!
