I too am surprised that BS runs so late for some of these guys. it has to be frustrating to be on the way b4 you even know how it all comes out. but i do think the navy puts them to rcu if they need help b4 they even get to BS.
Clandy, I feel for you. It would be hard to miss that call. I'm sure that he'll leave a message for you, which you can save to listen to over & over again.

I for one am heading out tomorrow morning. I'm driving up from Alabama and breaking the drive up into two days. I actually enjoy driving so I'm looking forward to it. I'm tired of hearing about oil spills, elections, etc so it'll be nice to focus on the trip. Today tried me though. I woke up this morning and my car wouldn't crank (nice of my car to do this one day before the trip.) Everything is fine now though thank goodness. Everyone be safe...

OH my goodness I am cracking up reading all these post. Ethan said BS-21 is 6-2 for him so I am hoping that the phone call does not come while I am on the plane getting there. I am so excited and do not want to go to work tomorrow. I am normally totally stressed about leaving work but this time I just can't make it happen. the way I look at it they will have to handle it or I will just have to work very hard when I get back. It will be Good luck to everyone doing battle stations tonight my candle is still burning!

jgoody ... thanks ... I wasn't even thinking about the time difference. I can't wait to meet you as well. I'm excited!!

Clandy ... I'm sorry to hear that you're gonna miss hubbys call ;-(

newyearsbaby .. I totally agree with you ... why do they do BS so late? That's crazy! And when finally get to be with them on Friday, they're gonna be so tired. I mean, I know their adrenaline is gonna be sky high but they're still gonna crash and be so tired.

you would think huh newyearsbaby. It is rather annoying, I must say!
Comment by newyearsbaby on June 1, 2010 at 9:40pm
You would think they would make BS a little earlier just in case someone doesn't pass, because most people are traveling when the last group finishes up. There isn't enough time to do it again before graduation and I would hate to turn around! I guess they don't have this problem often which is good.

Denise, it must be dinner time on the west coast. They'll be back on later when I'm done for the night. Look forward to finding you at the m&g.

Looks like everyone left me. And beings that I cannot get on this site during the day because I work, let me just say this . . . For those of you traveling tomorrow, I wish you all safe travels and then a wonderful day on 6/4. I hope to get the pleasure of meeting some of you at either the meet-n-greet or the PIR.

MV-Boone ... My candle is lite for all of the recruits tonight - I'm confident they're all going to do just fine.

Sobe ...I don't trust you or your hubby ... I'm going to stop at the nearest NEX and get you those Navy undies . . . we all know how you like to travel without any ...lol. And I must say, you and your daughter are beauiful. My son is single and I've got my eye out for a good girl for him.

bryters AT ... I also heard that it's freezing in the PIR hall. My girlfriend told me that the recruits are all dressed up and they have to stand for such a long time - they keep the AC up super high. There's usually one or two that will pass out during the ceremony. They get really hot (due to their uniforms). They even have a PO walking thru the lines of recruits to keep an eye on them ... checking for any of them who start to buckle at the knees.
