Let's help those who are coming to PIR by themselves find each other so that no one is traveling alone from the airport to Great Lakes.

I just did a scary thing! I created a GROUP. I was encouraged by others to help those with Grad & Go questions. But this is not "my group", it's all of ours and I really need your help!!!! Please join (it's only me right now) and also add comments to help others. It will take awhile for others to see it, but we need something in the comment area!!!!

The link above is suppose to be hilarious! Like a Top 10 list of comments and lines written by recruits while in bc. Now that we are through with that, maybe it will be funnier. I have a few I could add to the list from my son's letters.

Hi ladies, Wow, it's been a little while since I posted on N4M. The last time I came on here, I didn't see many people posting so I kind of assumed it was ending. Then I checked today and wha-la ... I see that you're all still posting.
It's nice to hear how everyones doing.
Sobe ... OMG, that's terrible about Kylesmoms' son ... I can't even imagine how or what they are feeling at this time. I will definately keep them in my prayers.
I miss coming onto this site ... gosh, I used to come home from work and head straight for my laptop to check out N4M. My husband was cooking his own dinner and my laundry ..... well, let me just say that it was piling up.
AirRescueMom ... I agree with you ... my son now calls several times a day to just check in. What a difference ... two weeks ago I was sitting by the phone waiting for him to call.
My son was given options as to where he wants to be stationed. He was given Hawaii, Japan, 2 different places in Virginia, and Florida. He had to give his top 3 choices and then he'll find out next week. He started school and he's lovin' all of the freedom. Now I just can't wait for him to get come home for a couple of days.

Yeah, you guys are still alive and kicking!!!

I was just on the PIR 6/25 group and I am still shaking from the news I read. Kylesmom just got a call last night that her son had problems in the gas chamber and now they think there are other health issues. He was suppose to graduate in 6 days, but now they are not sure if he will even be able to stay in the Navy. It is BREAKING my heart. Please lift this family up in prayer.

Ladies, boy do I need to update my profile pic. I feel like MEPS was sooo long ago.
D called last night and told me that he classed up so he starts A School on Monday. He's happy about that but has been enjoying his time. (Life is good and the planets are back in their proper order since Mom finally got his cell and laptop to him!)
I've joined my local N4Ms site and am looking forward to lunch with them in July. A couple of them are still BC so I've been able to help with a couple of PIR questions. Aren't we a bunch of "old hands" now?!
My sweet hubbie got me a digital frame for my birthday Monday and preloaded it with PIR pics before he wrapped it. I've been reliving our big day all week!

I still check in, too. All is well with my sailor in Goose Creek......settling in nicely, but very busy. Sobe: glad to hear you are helping the new moms!

Hey Sobe I check in everyday not much being written though. How is everything with you? How is your son doing?

Okay ladies - I checked out some PIR groups older than ours and they are still chatting away!!! I miss you guys - no one else understands my humor! Okay, not true, but you know what I mean.

There are new moms posting on the Boot Camp Moms groups that have either just received the "I'm here" call or have gotten the "kid in the box" package. I'm trying to encourage them and hopefully make them laugh later down the road - not sure if they are ready for my humor yet! They are a bit too sad right now. I don't think I could go through that experience again right away, but I'm certainly a better parent now because my son is a better man - all because of joining the Navy!
