BattleStations for this group should start most likely Thurs, Jul 7th.  You all may want to check the link above to understand what they will be doing!  Also, please post BattleStations dates as you receive them from your SR (ask about them) and I will start a schedule.  It is an overnight drill, so if they tell you they will be giving you the "I'm a Sailor" call on such-and-such day, that is the day after so report the day before as the start date.  Others may tell you that they go into BattleStations on a certain date.

Diannep- i just read a comment on the RTC facebook page that we shouldn't post these dates because of security reasons. Is this true or is it ok to post? I'm not sure and i definitely don't want to get my SR in any kind of trouble.

This is an excerp from the community guidelines so I would think it would be ok but I'd rather ask and be sure:

"Details regarding training, equipment, and current or future operations or missions. (But Boot Camp is okay.)"

Since it says Bootcamp is ok, I guess it should also apply to Battlestations 21 dates right?

this was the response I received from their facebook page....

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command
We do not allow the posting of Battle Stations dates because we want loved ones to begin practicing Operational Security by not disclosing precisely where the recruits will be during specific hours in the middle of the night in a specific building. Plus, the recruits do not always have the correct dates to give to loved ones, so the information posted is misleading.

If you wish to share such information with others, please do so in a private message
We are ok to post them on N4Moms, southern mom.  We checked this out last Fall with Public Affairs Office. We have been posting them for well over a year now.
BS for 816 is July 12th.
Wow, Battle Stations isn't until the 13th-14th for 229??  We are suppose to leave early on the 14th to get there.  What if he doesn't pass and can't graduate on time?  I don't mean to play devil's advocate, but realistically - what then??  I'll just be praying they all make it through - ALL of them!!
