Thanks FTLW for the helpful tips, I had actually read that a few months back and totally forgot about it...my SR is doing awesome adn we are so proud of her she passed her PFA and got promoted to E2 - her attitude is so positive that I am just so shocked at the change in her - she loves the food, she likes her RDC's - I can't wait to hear her voice next hopefully this weekend

My SR said they only get to mail stuff on Sunday so i'm only going to count on one per week :-) i have been so excited, i bet i read that letter four times last night :-)

I am happy to share, i have enjoyed seeing the other post and it broadens the view when you get to hear the different things the SR's write :-)

I got my second letter today!!!! she passed her pfa so she is now promoted to E2!  they also did their swim test last week...she says she likes the food a lot and said she had taco salad apple slices and peanut butter and frosted mini wheats!  she likes her RDCs she said they got their first mail call last saturday!  she added last sunday was the first time she got to shave her armpits!  LOL

lol, it really is the little things that count :-) i'm so happy you got another letter, it helps to hear whats going on :-)

My son is in ship 04 div 223.  We've received 2 letters from him & I anxiously await another.  In his last letter, he writes, "HELP!!!  Get me outta here... LOL!"  well, @ least he hasn't lost his sense of humor...he also said, he was doing well & very committed to his choice to become a Sailor.  I am so proud of him...oh yeah, he did write how much he misses me (MoM)...I think he really misses my cooking, hahaha...

kellyadumesnil, my daughter in law is in that same group. Isn't amazing how three words can make you feel both sad and happy :-) we hate that they miss us but love the fact we are important enough to them to be missed..lol

JDM: so very true...
