rackie: Thanks for putting the count down clock. It makes it a lot easier than writing on the calendars.

diannep: Thank you for your words of comfort to Karleen about the what happens and what to do's if our SR's don't make it on their scheduled 7/8 PIR. I too am hoping that no one will have to go down that path but it's good information to know ahead of time.

This site is so helpful to so many. I wish everyone knew about it. I imagine most of those who get goodies sent to them at bootcamp and have to do IT (intense training) are those who's families know nothing about this site because we would tell them not to do that lol. Our recruiter told us about this site as well. I learned so much on this site and passed it on to my daughter that she finally just said Mom, don't tell me any more you are making me nervous. She was only in DEP 1 month. It was a good thing she was athletic and very good at memorizing because that wasn't very much time to prepare at all.

Diannep...appreciate the information!  Thanks!  Again, I am thankful for this site.

N4Ms has helped me since my son was a depper!  (His recruiter told me about it back in October and I've been checking it out ever since! - a lot of the info helped my son prepare, as well!)

Diannep:  Thanks! My son's recruiter told him about this site.  I would have thought that all recruiters would do that.  I guess I should be thankful for the recruiter for the imformation.

Night, all!

Sonie:  I wouldn't wait on the hotel reservations, especially if you need a larger suite like Residence Inn has (2 bdrms 2 bth and studios also).  The hotels have very generous cancellation policies so there is no harm done in booking now.  Some of the larger suites sell out sooner than the rooms do.

Susie:  You all will find that there is a very small percentage of the total PIR ladies on this site.  Sad that many don't even know about it.  You will be able to share with some of those ladies at the MeetNGreet and PIR.  Be sure to tell them about this site because it will be helpful to them during A School, C School, and duty stations too.
