Ladies, you all may want to start discussion groups above for your individual divisions.  That way, you can get to know one another.  Stay on this main board too as we "veterans" don't go in the dicussion groups much (no time) with our info, but it is nice to share with those in your division by way of the discussion groups.

It is easy to start one.  Just click on "Add a Discussion" and go from there!  Before adding one, always make sure to scroll through (hit VIEW ALL to see all discussions) and make sure someone else hasn't already started one for your division.

Ship 12 Div 225  -  I just received my letter today! Am I lost!?! I don't see anyone else with someone in that division. Does anyone else have a son or daughter in this division with the ship date 7/8. I thought BC was 9 weeks? My son just arrived at GL last Monday. I am glad to see that he is graduating earlier than I expected, just confused. :o}

Thank you Willsmom and Diannep. This really helps out a lot. My husband and I are very proud that our son made this decision and we can't wait to see him at graduation.

Nanette:  PIR starts at 9 am and ends around 10:30 am.  But you will will need to be there much earlier than that to get a choice seat!

Thanks so much Diannep, You are right, the ribbons do look a lot better in person. The ribbons are a great way for all the moms, wives, and other family members who are on this site recognize each other at PIR and the Meet and Greet as well.  They are also a great way to show how proud you are of you Sailor and make an awesome keepsake. I have been making them for anyone who wants them since my daughter had PIR last July and I have not heard of anyone who was not completely thrilled with them. I put of lot of pride and care into making each one because I know first hand how important this even is. If anyone would like more info just click on my name and send me a friend request or you can email me at: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com be sure to include your N4M name and PIR date in your email. If you have facebook you can visit my page and see a lot more pics there of the ribbons and Navy scrapbook items I also make. If you "LIKE" the page your name will be entered into a drawing to receive a free bundle pack of Navy scrapbook items. The drawing will be held when we reach 220 "LIKES" and we are almost there :-)

If anyone has questions about the 900 DIV, the job rate AO or Pensacola A-school let me know. I am happy to help.

Here is one of the ribbons I made for another Mom. Flags are added to the ribbons for Sailors who have other family members in or retired from the military.

Hi Ladies - Will we receive more information on the agenda for the PIR? Like what time it starts, where to go, etc.

Comment by diannep on May 23, 2011 at 7:05pm
Karleen:  Each division starts out with around 88 recruits, and there are 10 divisions, so that is 880.  However, they will "lose" some...and gain back some who had been asmoed (setback) from earlier PIR groups.  They usually graduate with about 65-75 SRs per division, give or take.

Yes, NYRican, all seems good with the admin responsibilities now.  But for some reason, it is not giving us the "x's" to delete posts...I don't see where you did anything wrong though.  Maybe administrators are not able to do that anymore, only you can.  It is usually not needed unless someone posts an SR's last name, and that doesn't happen often or on every group so hopefully it won't happen here.  So I think all is well!  Thanks!
