My notes from previous posts says gate at corner of Buckley Blvd & Illinois St.

If you have any tips about your drive please post!

I'm in Chicago now. We came in early to site see. We drove to the base and I saw that there are several gates to enter in. Anyone know which gate we go in through?

So excited! Leaving tonight for Ohio and then on to Chicago in the am.  We were thinking of taking the shuttle from the Ramada to the graduation.. but does anyone know if there is a shuttle BACK or do we have to get a cab?

Has anyone received a phone call yet about BS 21 last night? Waiting is so hard...

I'm sorry if this has been covered already but can someone let me know if there are rules, etc. about our personal pictures?  Will we be able to share pictures of our SR and Graduation with family members who are not able to attend by means such as Facebook or will we have to share them by a private, secure site?

Hello Friends,

I just want to ditto all the things said on here. Since I found this site I have been glued to it. It has helped me get ready for this awesome trip this week to GL. I can't wait. We are flying into Midway so we have a bit further to drive. We don't get in until late so I think the traffic shouldn't be an issue for us. I don't like city driving so this will be an adventure.

Just like someone else said if my daughter in law can pass boot camp we can pass Chicago traffic. My granddaughter is so excited to see her mommie the Sailor - How cool is that. Prayers to the families of the SR  who still have to go through BS21. The next call you get will be I am a Sailor. Hugs to you all. I hope to meet you at the meet and greet. I will be the one with the great big smile. LOL
