Chicinge: Im so grateful for my mom in law, she bought me an outfit to wear for PIR, my best friend Daniella gave a cute top and light sweater too! Aww! They know how I hate shopping! I'm okay with my cousins and aunties hand me downs! saving money and free clothes! lol!

I also want to wish everyone a wonderful, safe 4th.  Be careful as you all head to PIR.   Three days and 19 hours just can go by fast enough.  I wish all SR could have all weekend with their families but I will gladly take what time I can get.  The anticipation is stressing me.  I agree with many of your comments about having a family member in the military making the 4th seem even more special.  God bless our SRs and all the fine men and women who serve our country daily.  Keep praying for all the divisions who still have to complete Battle Stations this week.

Bags are packed, stomach in knots not a fan of flying. But nothing would keep us away from PIR. Congrats to all the other families looking forward to meeting you all. I just wished I had found this site 9 weeks ago. It has been great reading through all the information.

Packing in Virginia too :-)   I agree with J's mom....never seems to be enough clothes lol  I have tryed on...and rejected half of my closet!  Still have to pack a bag for my SR. Cannot forget his cell phone and charger so he can catch up with friends!  I hope that Battlestations go well and all of our travels are safe.  God Bless and Happy 4th!

“The greatest lesson we can learn from the past. . . is that freedom is at the core of every successful nation in the world.”

Happy Fourth of July! I used to not think much of Independence day, as a typical immigrant, it's another excuse for barbeques, day at the beach, family picnics and watching fireworks. Now, that my husband is in the Navy, this runs much deeper. Thank you so much for all the sacrifices the members of the armed forces and their family who sacrifice themselves to continually fight for our freedom. I feel honored to join that crowd. God bless everyone!

See you all in 3 days! (I'm packing here too..)

navymommo-

We have to have insurance/registration for car, ID's for all of us (I think I"m bringing SS cards), and the Gate pass.  Getting my GPS addresses programed in. Packing and getting ready for things always makes me anxious and grumpy. Once I'm on the road I am fine.. but until that time.. stay away from me. :)

Dudiesmom-

What paperwork besides a gate pass?   Travel stuff?  Help me out- I wasn't thinking of anything but the gate pass (we are driving) and hotel stuff?  What am I missing?

Thx!
