About PIR graduation, it's it held indoors or outdoors, and what should the dress be?

Hey- we are now the oldest mom's in the bootcamp group!  Remember when we were deppers?  Feels like a lifetime ago!

Ok, J'sMom.  If that had been my church service today, I would have had to walk out because of the noise I would have created with my sobs! :-)   I think you are correct...give up on the "I will not cry" at PIR and just prepare for it...lots of kleenex, VERY waterproof eye makeup, and then just "go with it."  Maybe tuck in a couple of cucumber slices to stick on your eyes afterwards for the puffiness....   :-)

I sure wish our service had done what yours did.  They usually do ask those who have family members who served or are serving in the military to stand up...or maybe that was for veteran's day?  I don't know...but would have been nice to honor them for both days.

Oh, my gosh, I can't believe I just joined this website. So much good information and great support! Oh, well, better late than never. I was so excited to find a picture of my son performing at the July 1st graduation on the Navy RTC fb page. To Z'sSweetieDIV934--my son and your boyfriend are fellow snare drummers! Congratulations to all you family members of new sailors! DIV 934  will be one of the last to do BS 21, so I guess we'll get our "new sailor" phone calls sometime on the 6th. :)
