Hi all. Hadn't gotten on the site since I've been trying to catch up on some recuperation sleep, lol. Got a call from my sailor while I was at work today and he was telling me (teasingly) that he was drinking coffee at the Java Hut! There is a Java Hut where he is going to school. He is in Monterrey, California and loving it  there. The weather is great and he laughed that class is from 9-4pm (0900-1600) and he had gthe rest of the day to himself. He pretty much looks to be settling down pretty well. I can't wait to visit him in Cali, since I've never been there.

I count myself lucky since I work with a number of CTI's and they pretty much tell me about life at Monterrey and what to expect and also what places to visit when I travel up there to take Jay his car. What a great journey :-)

PIR was wonderful. Didn't get to meet anyone, but it was nice to have all of you for support and to provide information that I would have not otherwise had. Thank you all! Good luck to your loved ones in their future endeavors!

Take care. My son is a CS. If there are any others out there, please feel free to keep in touch.

Thanks again.

Zana.. my son headed to A school.. Corry station. He says at first the free time was unsettling but he is enjoying it now. He said his classes won't start though until the end of the month.

Missed my flight.. I used EXPEDIA and buying a new ticket is cheaper than rebooking. Staying here in Chicago till Friday. Glad I have cousins here and currently staying at their house. I hope everyone is doing well. I was so happy to see my husband and in-laws. Finally able to use a computer! God bless!

Great weekend! Got to see my sailor graduate :) so proud of him and then we were able to get married! And in less than 48 hours he will be home to move me! I'll be in south Carolina this time next week. So excited to start my journey as a navy wife :)

Just wanted to send my thnaks to everyone on here too. Especially to NYRican and the other veterans that provide so much guidance and insight. I felt like I had such a headstart knowing what to expect, bring and do. These are the kind of people that remind me what a great place we live in. I could not have had a better experience and time with my sailor. Thank You!
