I just read on RTC's FB page a post that might give you more hope, chicinge.  A guy posted that his wife just called him today that she finally passed her float test and should still be graduating tomorrow!  So it ain't over til it's over!

chicinge:  Sorry, meant to put FIT PROGRAM as the group name, not FIT DIV.
Comment by diannep on June 30, 2011 at 10:44pm
chicinge:  Has he been put back in the FIT DIV?  Did he say that?  He still should be able to try next week, if not tomorrow.  If he is in FIT, there is a group on here for that.  Just put FIT DIV in GROUP search.  Those ladies may be able to help you more. I'm thinking he still has a chance to PIR next Fri.  As long as he passes before Thurs, he should be able to do his BattleStations that night  (with next group) and PIR on time from what we have seen on here.  Did he pass the run?  That is the other thing that gets alot of them.  But again, most pass before their PIR.

NavyWife:   Here is a link to the 2011 military pay charts:

http://www.navycs.com/2011-military-pay-chart.html

During bootcamp, they get pay for E-1 no matter what their rate (E-2, E-3) but will have the pay made up to them after they are finished, is what we understand.

We think that Div 219-222 are doing BattleStations tonight...so calls for all in those divisions tomorrow starting around 2 pm GL time...keep cell phones "in the bras" all day so you don't miss it!  Capping ceremony (they become SAILORS and trade the RECRUIT cap for the NAVY cap) in the morning.  Good luck and prayers for these divisions!

chicinge  -  It took my son 4 or more tries to float also.  He finally passed it a week or so ago. I was worried also, but he had some of his buddies there give him pointers. The Navy needs to realize not all of us are ment to float!! LOL   I have never been able to float and I was a lifeguard & diving instructor growing up! I think they should need to tread water for awhile instead of floating! (haha)

chicinge - I agree with the others! Stay positive for you and your SR.  My son's friend couldn't get the run and he is now at Nuke school with over a year under his belt. Stay strong & our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Please keep us posted!

chicinge, so sorry to hear about your son. Keep your head up cause he will make it through. With his mom's positive attitude and him having made it this far; have faith he can do it. After the sad comes the toughness and he will make it. Prayers out to you and your son.
