Has an SR ever passed the 2nd PFA and not the final one?  My DH is older (27) so the requirements for him to pass are not quite as hard.  He wrote me that he had to do the run in 13:45 and did it in 13:10 and did plenty of situps and enough pushups to even pass the requirement for 18 yr olds.  So he was very happy to pass the 2nd which made me worry less about the final.

*Navynrocks- My neice lived in Chicago once and said the must pizza place to go for authinic Chicago pizza is Giordano's. I looked it up and the closes to the base is on 7105 Grand Ave., which according to the map is about 6.10 miles from the base.

mosita1991-Ship12 Div219, We got a letter from our daughter Wednesdays, she seems to be doing ok. Hope the same from your daughter and all the other SR's.

For those of you traveling and worrying your SR won't pass BS, listen to Diannep.  If they have passed their PFT's, trust their determination to pass BS and stick with your travel plans.  Unless they go screaming out of the ship during BS, they should be given plenty of opportunities to pass with their divisions!  They want to graduate BC just as much as we want them too.  Have some faith, mommas!  :)

I am so sorry I haven't been on here much for the last couple of days. My wedding is tomorrow :-) Tomorrow is also my parent's 51st wedding anniversary and they will be renewing their vows as well. It is going to be a special day for all of us. We have our family here from AL, MA, MS, SC, & NC and my sailor is home as well. It is a "small" outdorr ceremony in the National Forest. I hope you all have a great weekend and please keep us in you prayers. If you need to reach me about ribbons you can still send me a message on this site or email me at: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com I will be able to check emails and be back to making ribbons by Sunday evening. Thanks so much for all the kind messages I have been receiving from my HUGE N4M family. Love to you all <3  Lora/Lala the Ribbon Queen

I just got 3 letters , 2 of which were very upsetting and one was slightly better

he is doing ok in most things but not the running that has to be done w/in 12 minues.  he is just also sad because he is grad n go and says he will have only about 8 hours.  he says,  mom i was glad to talk to dad last time but i missed hearing your voice, Iam in tears!

His requeest was for us to go to a famous Chicago pizza place, Anyone know of one near the BASE area?  This is a big thing for him to say make plans of things to do since he has never been one to tour or shop. Says they got more shots coming and busy week, his rackie mate was pushed back for fitness problems and another guy he really liked was sent home for asthma, says many are getting asmo'd. he is finally getting better on the congestion/flu says they put him on 5 different meds.

I feel bad for us all wanting to see our kids so bad and the plans that have been made and yet they can all go up in smoke with just one call home or on the road is even worse.

thanks for listening to my maternal babbling.
